So we've had him now for half a season and it's been a strange old time. When he's played, he's always added something to the side and done well. But that game time has been few and far between. Why can't he get a look in? It makes no sense. Is he still injured?

Idiotic system, if he's not getting a game with Arnie banned then the poor bugger better hope we stay in the FA Cup
He hasn't looked out of place any time he's played, maybe he's another victim of our wingbackless wingback set up

People said he was injured and then he played 3 days for the 23s. Hence my little is he injured dig earlier. Its absolutely farcical.

Frustrating as hell, can't help feeling that any other club would have played him and he'd have shone like a star..African Young Player of The Year...And hardly getting on the pitch for us...But as I've said before, I am sure that LMH and his team know what they are doing, and maybe they feel he is not quite ready...

I think it's one of these silly things that Hughes gets in his head, a young player from poor quality foreign league can't possibly be ready to play regularly in the Premier League until he's had a season on the bench watching us lump the ball to Crouch and Walters.
Just like the idea he has that the first 6 games of the season are bonus games and Crouch should always start against Liverpool because he won a couple of headers against them once.

Not one bit of the evidence where it matters (in competitive games) shows that though. What it did show is that if Arnie was out we have a bit of rough around the edges clone ready to come in.

Got the whiff of Pulis about this one. Promising youngster comes on to prove what he's all about and looks like he could improve the squad and he's never seen again.
This is the sort of shit that makes me want to see the back of Hughes.

He could play left with Arnie on right, as we did v Swansea, meaning we wouldn't have to watch Walters or diouf plod their way down the right wing or Shaq doing his disappearing act.

Mr Hughes neeeds to start Sobhi, Ngoy and Verlinden these younger players deserve a chance. It is long overdue. The likes of Shaqiri, Diouf and Bony have all had their chance. Time now for a different approach. Walters and Crouch have been good servants and possibly still have a role but we need to look forward.

It's one of those things that's getting quite tedious now, I don't know more than Hughes obviously but it seems to me that most pl managers play a system, buy players that suit that system and then get cover/competition for said players..
You'd think he's had enough time in charge to do that now but we've decided to switch to 3 at the back and we're still none the wiser about what our best team is
I might be massively oversimplifying it but if you know your role and the system you're playing, it's a pretty easy thing to switch out banned/injured players because their cover will know their role and the system too? Arnie out for 3 games, ok let's see what Ramadan can do against the top teams.. like for like swap, same system, same tactics..

Arnie 3 game suspension immediately before Afcon = gives obvious opportunity for Three starts for his natural
replacement Ramadan Sohbi
experienced or not, the lads shown he can do the job
and, such plainly daft omissions like this, are exactly why Mark Hughes's 'honeymoon' is definitely over and people
are openly questioning him continuing to be our manager
stupid really and so unecessary
its not mob rule - its just basic common sense

The ACON is the problem, why play him now and depend on him when you know he'll be absent for a month I guess that is Hughes analogy.

well Arnie gets suspended = Sobhi is in for 3 starts
Sobhi goes to Afcon
Arnie is back in
whats hard to figure out here ?
(unless of Course -you are Mark Hughes)
and the cliche is obvious
NOT ROCKET SCIENCE IS IT ?
(unless - your head is messed up to the extent you try to make it so)

This is the sort of shit that makes me want to see the back of Hughes. 'Whiff of Pulis' - you mean the man who played Ryan, Wilko, Dicko and Shotton and is now playing 17 year olds for West Brazil. This has the whiff of Hughes - no one else. Another reason to get Hughes out of the club.

That's what they get paid millions to do, and I am sure if they thought he was good enough they'd play him, after all, it is a result based business, and if he was a match winner they'd pick him...We only see snippets of him when he gets the nod off the bench, they see him day in and day out...

Maybe with him off to ACN,the management don't want to waste their time bedding him in, only for him to disappear for a month or so. Perhaps when he is back we will start to use him more. Or could be MH doesn't rate him that much.

And if it is the case and you've signed them both then you're (Hughes not you) is an idiot.

That gaping hole down the left vacated by Arnie has been screaming for Ramadan to fill it.
Pieters has done his best Superman impression getting up and down but has left us horribly exposed and imbalanced.
I'm (still) a fan of Hughes but this blind spot has been baffling to me...

Think most people find it strange, especially with Arnie out. Seems to be MH's trouble with young players. See Everton gave a debut to a young lad the other night. Ramadan gets all these plaudits internationally but is still not given a chance, as with all these younger players. I don't expect him to go mad and introduce loads of them, but going on the bus with the team or getting 2 minutes at the end of a game isn't my idea of getting a chance. If the supporters are frustrated I don't know how the lads feel.

It's a weather problem some African countries weather in the summer is very hot or very humid so they can only organise the ACON in winter.

I'm saying get rid altogether or ban our leagues players from playing in it, surely the world cup is sufficient.
