Yesterday we constantly had every player back in our own box defending corners against 10 men How were we supposed to stop any cleared balls coming directly back at us. To compound it with all those players back we still had no one on the posts. Madness. "Vis Unita Fortior

Another moment of madness from the manager. Surely to God you put bojan on the half way line which would have meant possibly 2 defenders having to stay aswell. Instead we bring every player back and invite pressure. Absolute pathetic management

Winds me right plus we just get in each other's way.
You wonder why we didn't leave bojan up top on his own and force them to keep two back
Haha you beat me to it Clyde!

Same every damn game. Why not put Bojan/Shakiri/Allen or all on the half way line. They're hardly suited for defending corners

Absolute pathetic management The man is tactically naïve, CR literally wiped the fuckin floor with Hughes yesterday, how he has managed to stay at this level for as long as he has is nothing short of amazing, we had the game won at HT FFS by not doing the basics he let Leicester take control using simple tactics which Hughes had no fuckin idea how to counter, he reminds me of Chic Bates in a suit at the moment.

That's irritating versus 11, versus ten it's unfathomably mental

Yes, I'd always have one player on the half way line v 11 men. Not to have someone there v 10 men makes no sense at all. I do wish that Nigel Johnston would ask the manager to comment on things like this in his post match interviews. I know it is an over worked phrase but "its not rocket science" is it?

Radio Stoke and Nigel Johnson are terrified of potentially upsetting someone at the club, hence the same old mundane questions every week. Mind you, if you think Nigel Johnson goes easy on Hughes, you should try listening the interviews the bloke from the official site does with him.

We've been doing it for weeks/months. Even when Shaq is playing, he's in or around our own box when defending corners. Absolutely pointless

Always baffled me. Leicester left Vardy up when we had a corner with Whelan marking him and Pieters covered. Glad the ball didn't come over to him!!!

General rule of thumb for everyone you leave up top two are needed to cover both, just inviting pressure onto ourselves ridiculous amateurish management again, he showed his arse well and truly yesterday, that performance second half from Hughes was the ultimate game changer.

The more congested the penalty area is the less chance of a goal being scored. That is the theory.

People where I sit have been saying this for weeks we keep inviting pressure back on ourselves even if we win the second ball from the corner and bring it out there is no one in an advanced position to pass it to along with his substitutions this is making Hughes look a poor manager and tactically inept!

This is basic Sunday League, schoolboy stuff isn't it. Stick the nippy kid on the half way line to force the opposition into having to think defensively when in an attacking opportunity.
