At home games?I know it's a problem at most home grounds nowadays but 2nd half yesterday hit a new low for me.We have the best squad of players we've had for years and at times playing some really good football but the crowd is as flat as a pancake. What can we do to improve it?Thoughts.

The players deserved better.

We've become like the fans of all the other established Prem clubs that we despised when we were first promoted. As has been said above, familiarity breeds contempt. IMO the only way we will get the bear-pit atmosphere back is if we are in a real relegation struggle where the fans really need to get behind the team, and then we may not see the same support, but just frustration and anxiety which would communicate itself negatively to the players.
Difficult to answer and even more difficult to resurrect.

People are funny , when it looked like we were the shite it really picked up but a few points and the flat complacency has returned , awful past two games .
Maybe we need a trip to Germany to see how they do it

Get relegated (or very nearly) or make a proper challenge for the title.

Play fast paced, pressing, physical football. Nothing gets a crowd going like a comitted challenge.
Don't dislike Les, just the slow paced football, its boring and reflects in the atmosphere

All seating stadiums have killed the game in my opinion. When I first started going the match I was left to sit on the railings at the front of the old boothen while my dad went with his mates further back. It always seemed to be where all of the lads went. You used to get a few in the paddock but it was mostly the boothen for the hardcore. Now we haven't got a proper home end where the majority of blokes go like we used to, everybody is scattered everywhere. Safe standing may rescue it a little, who knows.

Sign someone who can throw a ball 60 yards. Sign a few 'Physical' players who can head the ball and smash fook out of the opposition. Simples!

We need to get more young people into the ground and allow areas where singers can sit together without pissing people off around them. The ground is currently packed full of 40+ year olds who are quite happy to sit on their hands all game which is fair enough really. The boothen has become stale, installing safe standing and removing allocated seating would help a lot in my opinion.

Standing helps. Which is why away fans are always noisy.
I find when I'm sitting I'm not as involved as when standing. I just want to watch the game when sitting down, then when there is something to get up for I'm more vocal about what is going on.
When I go away I stand and sing all game. Nothing to do with drink either as I don't always drink at the footy.

Don't think it was so bad yesterday, went a bit quiet second half, a bit like the match. If one of Joe's chances had gone in it would have been fiesta time I'm sure.
It generally takes a shit ref or vocal opposition to get the roar going, we had neither yesterday.
South Stand is where the best atmosphere is. I've got high hopes that the new corner {especially safe standing/rail seating} will connect the South Stand to the rest of the ground. Hopefully putting more life into the Novus in the process too.
Shame we don't have a few more songs/chants for the lads.

It really is all about the "standing" when it is said and done. Will be interesting how the SRO home end at the new Orlando City ground will create even more of a roar than we had at the Citrus Bowl last season. In case you lot haven't seen photos/renderings yet it is quite the English style ground. Old Phil did a good job of getting a proper English ground in Orlando.

we don't, this was always going to happen. In the first few seasons we had a great atmosphere cause it was us v the world. Now we're better & bigger than half of the teams in the league and expect to pick up wins. Only natural.

Generally, unless we're moaning at the ref for making a bad decision the "supporters" sit in silence.

This I'm afraid, the atmosphere only really comes back when we're playing the big boys because it becomes us vs the world again

Most football fans don't understand what they are watching and how to get a atmosphere going.2008-2011 we were always the underdogs so we had aback to the wall attitude .The only time Pepole shout know is if we score,a bad decisions or we play the Arse.

Fans demand 100% effort from the players yet put 10% in themselves.
And anyone that says it should be the players that get the fans going should be banned on here and banned from the ground. Trouble is We'd then be left with an attendance like the vale. And there lies the problem.
