Rock solid again. I keep waiting for the big chink in the armour that's prevented him playing at the top level before to appear, but I haven't seen it so far. Long may it continue The chink in his armour is his refusal to come for crosses and his inability to dominate his 6 yard box. Failing to come for the ball cost us 2 points against WBA and could have cost us a penalty tonight. He is easily our best option while Butland is injured but we will be greatly improved with a fit Jack Butland back in the side. Go and watch Rondon's goal for WBA. No 'keeper in the history of the world would have come for that!! Mental.

Miscommunication over a ball that should have been his led to Bruno putting it out for the corner that led to the goal.

According to my Derby supporting mate, he was dropped because he's susceptible to the odd calamity. Which to be fair, touch wood, we haven't seen yet.

At the end of the day he's just been solid hasn't he? which is exactly his job tbf, just makes you think how bad Shay actually was for the first few games.

Was great again today. Had to deal with a few tricky balls but his handling was top notch.

He has been really composed for a bloke suddenly thrust into top level football - suggests some good knowledge from someone in the transfer team.

Impresses me more every game, six league games unbeaten and only 4 goals conceded. Did everything you expect of a decent keeper comfortably and a top drawer save as well. Could well turn out to be as much of an important signing as Joe Allen.

D'rather a Grant than a Given. Big fan of the Derby lad. Wouldn't be surprized if Rory hasn't had a hand in things. Sign him up for xmas and let Jack fight his way back in via the FA Cup. Time to ignore all thee hype for a young Jack the lad, re-learn the art of kicking and how to resist the temptation to get too involved in the passing game too much. Grant is a mint shot stopper and my favourite netsman at the mo.

Grant commands his penalty area for sure. Today at Wt Sham he sent Shawcross on his way with a smack on the bum.

I bloody love this lad. His confidence and attitude is fantastic. He's been offered a chance and the lad as grasped it with both hands. I'm happy to admit I was wrong as I was genuinely worried when we signed a keeper that could take make derby's bench but my God this lad is brilliant

I'm really impressed by Grant. The most impressive aspect is that he seems to communicate and link-up with the defenders superbly.

I might be a bit over protective of Jack, a lad of his talents, early twenties goalie in the prem. I wouldn't want to rush his recovery or stick him back in the England limelight while we've got Grant. That's all. Aspects of Jack's game he can improve on.. might work on that from the sidelines.

Is he out of contract too?
What would Derby take for him in January?
Perfect cover for Jack and or whoever replaces Jack.
Four I'd contract should do it.

I agree with not rushing him back, on the current showing with Grant, there is no need, however when he is fully fit, he comes back in IMO. We have one of the best keepers in the country and Grant will provide great back up

The only fly in the ointment might be that Derby's new manager likes him more than the last one. But a modest fee should still get him in January, I would have thought - providing he makes it clear he wants the move.

Fans, management and players who respect him Be astonished if he turned that down

Superb one handed reflex save today, no chance with the goal as it took a deflection off whelan and wrong footed him!!! Feel very safe with Grant in goal compared to Given and Haugaard!!!

What i want to know is where's he been hiding for the past 15 years? It happens in English football. Les Sealey got Man United out of the shit in the early 90s before that he was just a journey man keeper. Read more below. Obituarywiki
