For me, the unsung heroes of our recent revival are these 3. BMI has settled in and forged a solid, decent partnership with Ryan pretty quickly, Grant has taken his chance at this level, shown himself as a decent shot-stopper and has been a much more commanding presence behind them than Given was and GCam has shown us that his best position is undoubtedly as a industrious, aaaaaard working midfielder. Obviously, a lot of the credit has gone to Allen (and Shaq yesterday) for popping up with the goals, but without those 3 coming in and playing their part, we might well still be the shower that we were in the first 5 games.

Good call. Martins Indi s a decent passer and picks out players well, moving the ball with pace and accuracy. So far, so good. Grant is a great keeper to have as back up and Cameron is definitely more suited to midfield.

There has been rightful recognition of GCAM's role in midfield this season. What surprises me however is that this is all viewed as being a revelation and a surprise. Didn't he successfully fill a similar midfield position early last season after we had initially experimented with Van Ginkel? People in fact commented that he was in the form of his life before he got an injury and was out for some weeks. I think it has been previously evident that his best position is DM, and his success this season has been underwritten by those behind and around him. This current form is nothing to be that surprised about.

Pieters too. He's been fantastic the past 3 matches for me. Cameron is playing fantastic, brilliant turn around - he couldn't pass wind earlier this season.

Geoff was excellent on Saturday; truly an unsung hero, but absolutely outstanding throughout the game. People like bayernoatcake regularly target people like Geoff, however even he's been quiet on this one lately. Playing in the position he WANTS to play, and where he's quite evidently at his best, he's finally getting some form and looking like a useful player in the middle. He, along with most in the team are currently pretty much undroppable.

You'd drop Geoff after Saturday? You're a fucking mentalist. Swansea at home calls for Bojan. No it doesn't, it calls for consistency. Swansea are utter dog shit at the back (highlighted by the fact their GD is as bad as ours), chances will come our way if we keep playing the way we are. If they shut up shop and play for a point, then Hughes has to be bold and make decisions throughout the game. However, lying in 19th, new manager running the show? I'm not convinced they will come for a point. Bob Bradley hasn't won over the fans whatsoever and they're calling for someone to try and play the 'Swansea way' (whatever the fuck that is?). Anyway, you've heard it here first: they will come to try and play and score goals, and that's what we should be exploiting.

For me a few of the deficiencies have been rectified as you quite rightly point out but there is still a lot of work to be done, holes have been filled with Grant and Bruno being the two most important pieces of the jigsaw so far plus a massive signing in Allen, unfortunately 90% of the support had seen the problems since the back end of March and it took our management team another 6 months to catch up, the losses of Butland, Affelly, Shawcross & Johnson affected performances really badly and showed how shallow the skill set was with the first team squad replacements, there was no one to come in and give any confidence or cover in these positions and it left us exposed until the recent signings and return from injuries of key players.
I think Grant has done well since he came in but our GK position is still a priority, is Grant going to be good enough to be our number two for the next couple of years and will it please him to be so or do we need to look else where and quickly, Sorrenson, Bego & Butland to Given & Haugarrd
Bruno has been exactly what we have been looking for since the Shawcross/Huth partnership was dissolved, again it took the management team ages to notice that what we had in reserve was not working so do we need cover or are we happy with what we have, when Ryan got injured we looked gash at the back and I dread the curse of the bad back returning because we are then back to same old same old.
We also need to address pre season training because again we look shit until 3 months in to the season, get them fit before the season starts not whilst we are 3 months in to it.
I have said it before an I will repeat it here, I can see some massive changes just around the corner with some of our more established players plus some of the fans favourites moving on, I think there will be a few big names some obvious and some not so, this will be a huge window for us coming up and I just hope some lessons have been learned from the recent mistakes with signings.

It's clearly the right decision to keep the same line up.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
It's utterly ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

I kind of agree with Bayern, as we should not need to play 2 DMs v Swansea. I'd drop Whelan, though, of the two, play Joe as a box to boxer, and Bojan as a number 10 to give Bony some support. That does not mean it should not be resurrected for other matches, just that we should adjust the team for different opposition.

I'm genuinely baffled why people are advocating a change in system and personel at this point.
And also a bit perplexed that some don't appear to have noticed Cameron is not just sitting.

He can't just sit and that's why he shouldn't be the one of the two DMs. His forward play is pretty crap though so isn't worth it. His ball recoveries/tackling has been good.
