He's played well but I think it only needs him or Whelan especially at home. Away and yeah I can see that need for a good number of games but not at home. I get where you are coming from but two DMs have given us licence to tighten up and give the flair players more scope Cameron is actually getting forward a hell of a lot also He is and it's to no end because he lacks the quality.

He is and it's to no end because he lacks the quality. You are a sad person. But it's true! his passing is average at the absolute best. And his finishing is as you'd expect shit. A proper player doing that role would give us a whole new dimension.

So it's not negative then is it ? You just don't think Geoff is up to the attacking bit which is another argument. The intent is there though surely ?

The intent is there though surely ? It is because his attacking player is neither use nor ornament. He's not there for that, he's there to be busy, intercept and tackle and he's done that well. If he could do the other bit, ie be the box to boxer we need then there wouldn't be an issue!

Because to move Joe Allen from the role he is playing would be bat shit mental ..for the time being at least. It's well worth the trade off.The results speak for themselves irrespective of the quality of opposition.

And Allen needs to be told to be more disciplined there which he can do. And he can still influence play further up the pitch. This is just a purple patch with his scoring, I don't think it's going to be a regular thing. We need to find a way of getting more from Bony.

For me, the unsung heroes of our recent revival are these 3. BMI has settled in and forged a solid, decent partnership with Ryan pretty quickly, Grant has taken his chance at this level, shown himself as a decent shot-stopper and has been a much more commanding presence behind them than Given was and GCam has shown us that his best position is undoubtedly as a industrious, aaaaaard working midfielder. Obviously, a lot of the credit has gone to Allen (and Shaq yesterday) for popping up with the goals, but without those 3 coming in and playing their part, we might well still be the shower that we were in the first 5 games. Spot on really.. The options should we pick up an injury to any of these players are none existent and worrying. You could also argue that Grant and Cam should not be the only options available at the moment when we have a chairman who seemingly wants to back his manager. Both are taking their chance though and it was an excellent move by Hughes to play Cam in CM - it has brought about some much needed balance..

So we're saying drop Cameron AND change Allen's position.
Time for this to be shit binned.
Trolling.

I can see the merit in that if and when teams start to combat our tactics and things go pear shaped again..but not now. It would be Pulis all over again..willfully dismantling something that is working just for the hell of it.

Mad as a barrel of piss you are Bayern lad! :) H So Cameron as a midfielder was the plan at the start of the season? He should be nowhere near the starting xi and 2 DMs at home is negative as fuck. If it was TP you'd be all over him like a rash! :) Not if he was playing well I wouldnt, and he's playing well at the moment. As for plans, you know what they say about the best laid ones. Not my first pick but I wouldnt change a team with 2 wins on the bounce after our poor start. Only someone mad as a barrel of piss would do that! H

I'm genuinely baffled why people are advocating a change in system and personel at this point. And also a bit perplexed that some don't appear to have noticed Cameron is not just sitting. He can't just sit and that's why he shouldn't be the one of the two DMs. His forward play is pretty crap though so isn't worth it. His ball recoveries/tackling has been good. You're a clown

Indi has been a huge help, but I think we'd still be flooding goals if we were persevering with Allen or Imbula alongside Whelan. I think we're pretty much stuck that way until January, or until injuries and suspensions intervene.
It's hard luck for Bojan that the man we brought in to replace Whelan didn't really work out as the replacement for our £18,000,000 N'Zonzi replacement and has somehow ended up as our goalscoring superplaymaker.
EDIT: I'm saying this as member #1 of the 'Geoff Cameron is crap and I'd sooner give up watching Stoke than see his incompetent slapstick buffoonery at right back ever again' club.

I like Hughes management style because throughout his time here he's shown that if the team played well the week before then he'll keep the same team where possible. He only tends to make changes if they are enforced through injury or if a player is really underperforming.
You couldn't say anyone underperformed last week and therefore there is no real reason to change anything so if there are no injuries I think we'll put out the same side against Swansea.

Medium term Bayern is right that 2 DMs seems wrong against all but the strongest teams and it would be good to have more creativity. If we go this way though Whelan would be the one to go. However 2 DMs is not necessarily negative if we push the full backs on and give the front 3 licence to roam. However Swanseas main threat is wide so I would be tempted to be more attacking in midfield or and have the full backs push on less and that means no Whelan

Got to agree on all point`s,think Cameron is much underrated on here and a easy scapegoat (Bayernoatcake etc.) but the other`s you mention along with Geoff do appear to be the catalyst to our revival
