Bayern, though, isn't wrong when saying Sobhi when fit should be starting. He'll quickly become a key player once he gets that proper run in the league. The management are clearly being cautious with him as to not burn him out too quickly, having had no real preseason or summer break. No one can deny his quality.
In those last qualifying matches his national team played, he was easily their man of the match in both fixtures. With Salah and Elneny on the pitch. Salah would be starting every match if he played for Stoke.

What you need to know is that the players not playing are always better than the ones that are. Unwritten rule of the English football supporter.

Dunno. Perhaps he's, you know, injured? He's not injured! Don't know then. Has he been training all week? Is there a niggle he has that they're trying to manage?

But just because he played Monday doesn't mean that he's been in training all week or has a niggle that they're trying to manage though. It's a pretty uninspiring bench (squad?) we have at OT today I must say, although this is exactly what LMH has done in the past when on a bad run; just turns his hand to 'experience' and becomes more and more risk averse. It has worked before though, so maybe he's onto something. Shame if the likes of Sobhi and N'Goy are performing but not getting a look in.

He is not injured but Mr Mark still believes in his super hero Walters.
I read in Egyptian newspaper that Sobhi may transfer on loan to Hull City in January, It will be much better for him and for stoke.

Let's face it; Hughes is usually fairly useless at tactics and picking the right starting 11 (that said, he may have got it right today with 3 DMs instead of 2). He's like a little kid with Christmas money burning a hole in his pocket. He goes to the toy shop, buys all kinds of stuff he thinks he wants and then doesn't know which ones to play with first. So he tries them all until he finds his favorites, and then his birthday come round and he starts all over again.

After todays result and performance im convinced Sobhi will never start in a Stoke shirt this season unless we're (god forbid) injury stricken.
Not sure whats going on.

Yes considering how fucking pathetic Bony was today I can't imagine we wouldn't have caused more problems with Sobhi on and Arnie up front.
Sobhi IN Bony OUT

Shaq on crosses. The modern players try to cross the ball hard and flat instead of pumping it to the far post. Shaq is not very good at either.

Probably not a Hughes signing so he'll eventually go the way of Arismendi.

Shaq did something that really annoyed me today, he was on the left and could have gone to the byline pretty easily to cross. Instead he cut in on his right and then passed it back. So frustrating.

I told this board MH did not even know we were signing him and was miffed,so he as said pick the team not the commercial department. So if he was the best player on the books he won't play him unless he is desperate.

He can't be any worse than Arnautovich at the moment, competition, injury, suspensions ???
The inclusion of Walters is disgusting.

Really hope some of our old players goes away in january for make space for fresh talents like Ngoy Verlinden and Sobhi.

Sobhi IN Bony OUT Bony was brilliant today with his back to goal holding it up. We need to work out how to get the two inverted wingers nearer to him and scoring goals

If and it is a big If that is true PC needs to drag Hughes to one side and read him the riot act, he is payed handsomely to pick the best players for the job at hand If he is not he needs a kick in the bollocks.

Rarely read so much hogwash masquerading as conspiracy theory. Nobody on here knows any pertinent facts about Hughes' opinion on Sobhi, what has gone on in training, whether or not they are 'nursing' the lad to a stage of fitness that he needs so as to be able to perform at Prem level on a consistent basis.
Yet another case of pages and pages of waffle based on SFA. Proof again that nature abhors a vacuum so when the vacuum relates to up to date news on a player, minds wander off on all sorts of tangents.

His record of giving youth a chance seems to be not to, not sure a manager of a club the size of Stoke will survive much longer with that approach when the club really want to see young players coming through .
