Conveniently he had an injury. Ok, thought he must have been 'injured' as he wasn't on the bench

Failed a fitness test. Mind you, he did run himself into the ground Wednesday night.
Needs to be starting that lad.

Don't buy the news him failing a fitness test to be fair. He fails but 60% fit shakiri flys through it scratching head 🤔🤔

Conveniently he had an injury. Behave. Hughes comments about him were a bit of a joke and he knew he'd get stick if he dropped him. And you could tell from the comments he was desperate to. It's very convenient.

I think he was held back from this one fearing a kicking straight out of the TP manual of first defence tactics!

But there's no way Hughes was going to start him anyway with those comments he made. Which is just rank bad management in itself. If he had played yesterday I think we would have won pretty easily. But he's too young and inexperienced for the manager.

Those comments he made about him were a steaming pile of horseshit. There was no way Sobhi was playing in that game. So he gets a niggle (no mention of it before this 'fitness test') and then he doesn't play. Bardsley wasn't injured the other week when he was dropped and that's from someone I trust implicitly.

It was he slipped at home cleaning out his 20ft fish tank. Oh and Afellay. He's not really injured. Rumour has it this big bright light was seen over Clayton wood and he was beamed up and hasn't been seen since. Now I don't know whether Hughes got in touch with this UFO and planned it in advance but if he did I agree we should get him out and get Steve Bruce in.

Believe what you want but this came from within the camp re Bardsley. Now the Sobhi thing is me speculating but they've done it before....

Conveniently he had an injury. How was that convenient? What a stupid thing to say. To deflect from him being dropped. After Hughes' comments in the press conference it was always going to happen and it was always going to be a daft decision. This deflects that pretty easily. It was very convenient.

So he fails a fitness test last Sunday. Fit to play 90 mins on wednesday and was possibly our best player, then fails a fitness test on the saturday. All abit odd to me, seems its a deflection from his none selection rather than having to explain it...

To try and shed some light on this issue:
The commentators on Radio Stoke said Sobhi was "blowing hard" and presumably had given his all.
This is the first time he has played 90 mins this season wasn't it?
If he flogged himself Wednesday night, he may well be very stiff and it could be a risk inflicting muscle damage if he goes out and tries too hard too soon. So I think the club physios etc. know what they are doing if it was decided to give him a decent recovery time before his next run out.

Your serious aren't you? Wow! He failed a fitness test, thats it,no conspiracy. If he had been fit he would have been on the bench at least. Whatever Hughes faults creating fake fitness tests aren't one of them.

His comments weren't very encouraging at all and he was always going to drop and then there would have been a backlash. He's very risk averse. And like I've said they've already done it with Bardo (or so I've been led to believe) why wouldn't they do it again?
