What a lovely trundle down Agenda Lane. No clapping, no affection. He did a great job, long gone but any anti chants would be classless wank in my opinion but modern football has no class at all.
It's all about us and trying to help the decent, talented but hopelessly lost Manager we have now. Not him.

It will be interesting to see which hand the applause fascists play when Hughes inevitably reappears at the Brit over the next few years. I think it will go along the line of 9th placed finishes and lucky Cup Finals etc

Pulis knows we're grateful for what he did for us and he doesnt give a fuck if we dont give him a reception, we need to support our team and mark Hughes and make the brit as hostile as possible for pulis and wba. And yes I refuse to call it the bet365

Class manager, forever grateful for what he has done for the club honestly don't think any other manager on the planet could've dont what he did with the players at his disposal.. Amazing achievement reaching that mark and think we should give him a clap an the respect he undoubtably deserves. Follow this with a huge roar, supporting the boys on a terrifyingly important match that could have big long term effects on the club. tell you what...given the fact that we gave him his applause last time which he then completely threw back in our faces (proving he doesn't give a shit about SCFC regardless of what you think. we're just any other club to him nowadays), why don't we leave the applause for his great achievement (which i'm not denying it is) for HIS fans at HIS club where he's marking that achievement???? that would be my take on it regardless of how decent we were at the moment. given our current state, in my opinion any Stoke fan who does anything other than concentrate on and give full attention to OUR team 100% for the full amount of time when they run onto that pitch needs a fucking massive head wobble!!!! how many fucking times do we have to give him a "reception"? he's a manager who spent over 100mill on players and kept us up (which is precisely what he was paid a salary and a bonus for. don't kid yourself he did it out of the good of his heart or because he loves us more than any other club he's managed. we're no more special to him than any of the other cubs he was ok for then antagonised and pissed off to the point where he walked or got sacked)..well done Tone, cheers for that but he's moved on so why the fuck can't we???? fuck cheering any opposition manager. i care about Stoke and now is the time, more than any other in recent years where we concentrate on OUR team and OUR manager. he doesn't manage us anymore so his "Achievement" has absolutely fuck all to do with us whatsoever Exactly mate. Spot on. Season after he left, fair enough, give him a clap. 3 years on...? Its getting a bit embarrassing now. Its like kidding yourself that you can be 'friends' with your ex. Wake up. She's fucking someone else now....

The pure hate and spite on this board for a bloke that as done so much for our club is unbelievable. Tone almost on his own made us into the club that we are now, a club that Hughes is slowly but surely taking apart piece by piece But it's ok he's jumping up and down on the touch line wanting our players sent off? Well we have special technical areas, he might just get sent off too !

I'm not going to be a herbert about it, just straight in with the '...you're a wanker song'. Not sure I'll get too many joining in the Q-Railing lower though. The lone voice of reason again. There will be a few of us in the upper joining in with you.

Remember the Oatcake Law;
1) The shitter our season is the more we talk about TP
2) As we go up the table TP fades away

Lets just see if the refs are going to be consistent and when, not if, he jumps onto the pitch whilst slagging off the forth official he gets his marching orders, after that he will have to walk through the bar area of the upper tier to get to the directors box just as Hughes did the other week.

I don't mind giving him the clap as respect for his 1000th game as a manager but if he does his touchline shenanigans like last year I forsee the Wenger tribute being renamed the Pulis.

And to think some people said he'd never get another PL club after he left...... Indeed I said that, I was wrong. 1000 games is an achievement to be proud of, whatever level of professional football you've managed at.

And to think some people said he'd never get another PL club after he left...... i don't see why anyone gave a shit on either side of that argument. not our manager so not interested personally which makes it even more confusing why some on here seemed more interested in Pulis doing well than they were in Stoke City....apparently being awarded "I told you so" points on The Oatcake seems more interesting and more important to some than our own current plight.

Any manager getting to a 1,000 games is an impressive achievement and I would hope we would applaud any manager in such a case. The fact a good chunk were with us ought to increase the applause and I can't believe we would be so small minded not to. Personally I think it is an exceptional achievement as so much of it was in the lower levels of football. I recognise Pulis has done well for himself in the later stages of his career but sticking at it for so long deserves admiration. If we are no longer interested in recognising people at other clubs when they achieve things in football it is not the club or city I know. I would hope we are bigger than that and recognise we are all part of the football family. I think Wenger getting to 20 years at Arsenal is even more stunning but again I think congratulations are in order.

Football is a sport. We are currently in a mess and desperately need a win. No time for sentiment, no time for applause for Pulis. That's not disrespectful or the otherwise.
His milestone is a sideshow and should be ignored.
Concentrate on supporting Stoke and Hughes. For. Fucks. Sake.
