Most fans will be forever grateful for what he achieved with us but his antics in front of me last season will mean I will not be applauding his return this season

Apathy should be the order of the day with regards to TP.
1000th game heh..... yeah and? That's his job
Just ignore the parasite.
Followed by 90minutes of all out singing to push the players on.

Considering the amount of hatred for the guy, perhaps it is time to remove him from the background ?

Class manager, forever grateful for what he has done for the club honestly don't think any other manager on the planet could've dont what he did with the players at his disposal.. Amazing achievement reaching that mark and think we should give him a clap an the respect he undoubtably deserves. Follow this with a huge roar, supporting the boys on a terrifyingly important match that could have big long term effects on the club. The players at his disposal he spent 100 million on?

I remember the Villa game after his mum passed away. What a game that turned out to be. Got us Europe and a cup final. Yes it all went tits-up towards the end and (even though our position isn't great atm) it was best all around for everyone he left. I like him, never hated him and getting him back a second time was the best thing our club ever did,in the recent times, IMO. I remember losing 2-1 at Scunthorpe with a few mins left, two supporters arguing about him, one offering the other out, seriously. Then it was 2-2, then Lawrence headed in with what was the last action of the match. Like it or lump it, He and everyone else from that era with all their hard work put Stoke City back on the football map.

His charity work was something everyone should admire him for, although his brand of football was shit, he did however put our club in a strong position to move forward. If only our players were as well drilled now, we would be challenging top 6. I will save my applause for when he retires as should everyone else. It is a great achievement, but we can't applaud him every time we play against him. We should be supporting our team, not the opposition.

If he was still our manager it would end in a bitterly disappointing away victory whereas Saturday it will end in a bitterly disappointing away victory 😋😇

The man should be lead on to the pitch by that bloke with mic and should be given a standing ovation ... and then shot.

I can lead the tributes on our behalf if you like? Pugsley will be my right hand man. Really looking forward to Saturday. Missed all the matches he has come back due to being away on holidays so it will be the first time I can "welcome" him back. Forever grateful.....

Shall we break him in with the "brick bats", since he's old and ugly enough* to take them? *Circa 2005.

I'm not going to be a herbert about it, just straight in with the '...you're a wanker song'. Not sure I'll get too many joining in the Q-Railing lower though. The lone voice of reason again.

After his antics last season he has had all the thanks that he is going to get off me. I appreciate what he did for Stoke but he hasn't been our manager for 3 years, I hope he gets right royally shafted on Saturday.
