Singing after they scored the second and at the end, "We're fucking shit, we're fucking shit.... etc.
About 16 years of age and about 40 of them abusing the team, yes we are in a hole but do us a favour and fuck off down the vale you stupid cunts with your negativity. Embarrassing.
Ever likely some of the old gaurd were getting annoyed and facing up to them telling them to get fucked. I bet none of em have a clue what year we got promoted.

Unnecessary abuse of our players seems to be a recurring theme from tonight's game. Hope they stay away on Saturday.

Isn't singing "we're fucking shit" just a bit of gallows humour? No mate, not after we all watched the game and the players gave their all for the win and got down at the death. The players, squad and management do not need to hear that at the minute. Stupid chav twats.

I disagreed with the booing but singing that imo is a bit amusing especially if you can't hear it loudly (I couldn't and I sit in the Sentinel Stand). They wouldn't have heard it either. What I did hear from the Boothen was shout of shoot at fucking stupid times, booing at the end (me and another bloke went mental at you (the royal you) at the end and general fuckwittery tbh.

I'm a sentinel stand season ticket holder and went in the boothen as a change and it was a joke, booing, stupid chants as mentioned but only the minority and stupid kids which wasn't needed and it kicked off a bit, I agree on the shooooooottttt thing, never on most of the time.

The best was when it fell on Imbula's right and there was a shout of shoot and then a bollocking when he didn't. Yes Imbula should use his right foot. But we know he doesn't. Doing that sort of shit isn't going to help anyone as he can hear it.

So they're pretenders, but they came to league cup game on a tuesday in an attendance of just over 10,000......guess the real supporters were elsewhere....
It's just kids, can't blame them for not being old enough to remember the 3rd tier jesus.

Because you paid an entrance fee is just a part of supporting a team. Maybe buying a shirt is support ,,,, like all these man u fans that never gone a game. True cant blame kids for not remembering the bad times, maybe the same kids go and support man c if we go down.

Every supporter I know, including myself has given their own team shit once in a while. They hardly stormed the directors box like the Birmingham 7-0. Maybe they do go and support Man City after, so be it, they are kids. Maybe one of them liked the experience so much with the ups and downs they are hooked for life. Say what you will about the "JCLs" but I'd rather watch a game in a full house than having a whole row to myself against Scunthorpe. The attitude people have towards new fans is borderline paranoia.

I love new fans, like I've taken my kids down tonight. I like to teach them to be there for the team through the good and bad times. They haven't seen us other than been in the top division. They enjoyed the game, we tried and made chances, sometimes these things happen. It's about supporting the team, not giving them shit, running off supporting other teams. If we are all positive towards the team while they are on the pitch it can only have a positive outcome. Or we could just have a full stadium like you want all slating the team and that will work.

When did I say I wanted them all slating the team? I said it's generally a good sign when a ground is full because it indicates success. Our core (I mean die hard every game fanbase) is below 20k, that is a fact. When we got promoted our average attendance was 16k. These kids might go to every game for all we know, and we're giving it large to appeal to their mates. Course we all want a successful team, but people expecting 100% positivity in hard times are naive, we don't even have that during the good times. Waddo was nearly hounded out in the 70s, Pulis never had 100% support at the club, and Hughes was condemned before even arriving by some. It's easy to pick on kids for moaning when in reality everyone does it at some point.

Whilst i agree with most of what you said the thing thay constantly grinds my gears is the older generation fan against so called newbies. How is a clubs fans base supposed to grow? If they were as old as you suggest then when we got promoted they would have been 8/9, thats about the age i got into football. If it took Stoke to get promoted to ignite somebodys interest in football then so be it. Dont want to sound like im having a go and i agree with everything else you said, but i hear it all to often particularly from vale fans. Theres probably another time and place to discuss what im talking about, but reading this thread it just popped up. Thousands didnt attend last night, myself included. Question peoples support if we get relegated and our attendances drop, you probably wont be waiting to long to do it either

Moan in the pub before and after. But for those 90 minutes get behind the lads, isn't that the definition of a supporter?

Proper catchy. It always reminds me of when I went Castle away in the promotion season in the cup. This little Geordie after the game was telling us "yer shit Stoke are". To which we replied "yes, yes we are". His face was a picture, he didn't know what to do.
