I predict the same 'Forever Grateful' banners and fawning over the capped one with a smattering of 'bring him back' whilst booing our own manager. H Don't take the banners with you this time then. I know, being such a massive Pulis fan, which over the years has been fairly apparent I should be ashamed :( H

admin this needs pinning and all stokies need to get behind the team saturday. pulis had his welcome back last year and deserves no further recognition following his and his teams antics home and away last season. we need hostile boos when they have the ball circa those boxing day 2008 v man utd, tony pulis your football is shit coates has spoken tonight, mark hughes is going nowhere just yet, the team need your support regardless of whether you want hughes gone or not. 100% agree

.....and make Pulis walk on with the rest of the staff and don't allow him that late late trot-on on his own to milk it - his antics last season blew away any right of respect due.....he can just fuck off He can only milk it though if some idiot decided to give him an ovation. Which they will. If he comes on at the same time as Hughes, guaranteed he'll milk that applause by clapping above his head in appreciation.

Last thing we want is the fans to openly jeer Hughes. I firmly believe this gives some players the opportunity to use it to mask their own shortcomings. Don't get me wrong Hughes failure to beef up the defence in the summer was a big mistake, but some players have not raised their game to the standard expected. They are professionals but some of the defending in particular has been Sunday league stuff. Against Spurs they outnumbered us when they broke away on a few occassions. This means our midfield players are not tracking back in other words they are not working hard enough. I don't think it's the right time to make things worse.

A lot of this thread sums up the problems of this board. We can only make MH a hero by making TP a villain. It's utter small minded nonsense. Support our man/team but save the bile for someone who deserves it ....if indeed anyone does (a certain Mr Atkinson may help here).

Come on Stoke smash em!!!!!

I don`t want Pulis back but will eternally greatful for what he did for our club , I will applaud him when he comes out , and I don`t give a flying fuck if I get called a rimmer or anything else for that matter. Stoke in the cup final was the biggest obstacle on my bucket list and he ticked it off.

Lock the dressing rooms as soon as the players come out. Toxic can get to fuck after his antics last season.

We've really got our backs to the wall like we did the 1st season we came up. It would be nice if we can replicate the noisy, intimidating and hostile atmosphere aimed only at the opposition and not for anyone representing our club.

Pulis deserves a nasty reception, after what he did to us last season, and that Yacob or whatever his name is needs hammering too. Another cheating t--t!

You would think that Hughes would get them (GK included) practicing defending corners, long balls/punts and set-pieces. No, you wouldn't. Hughes doesn't do those things. Only triangles.

I'm fully behind Hughes and am well up for giving him a huge reception but shouldn't we do that every game an not just to have a sly dig at arguably our best manager ever. Not clapping him will make us look like utter ignorant cocks. I for one will definitely give him a clap it shows our class.

If the players start the match at a high attacking tempo (and we've not lost to Hull already) then I hope this happens, however start the game with too much tippy tappy and allow them to get stuck into us and the boos will start. I want Hughes gone but I hope he can turn it round and proven wrong. The Hull game has been much overlooked in the debates on here since Sunday (or at least the ones I have read). It's a free hit and we need to go balls out. A good crowd and a home win would undoubtedly lift the mood for both players and supporters ahead of WBA

With what he did here though I don't think we as Stoke City fans should fall into that category really. Anyway as I said earlier I think Saturday is all about MH and the blokes in red & white shirts - TP and WBA are very much an incidental matter.
