Have to feel sorry for the guy.
Easily our best outfield player all last season. He's not been at his best so far, but still has been our most consistent performer so far for me.
Great goal today.
Can't see how anyone could call him lazy or place him in the category of 'flair players who lack bottle'. Alongside Allen, Indi and Johnson he seemed one of the only ones willing to have a go.
Have make sure we stick with him because he does have temperamental issues and is clearly getting frustrated with his teammates letting him down week in week out for several months now.

Get Arnie behind Wilf and bottle up the other 9. Win 1-0 for a few.

Felt really sorry for him at times.
Yes, he huffs about and is quite mercurial, but often (alongside Allen) looks like the only one giving a shit
Good goal today

He's played poorly this season, and is as much part of the problem as anyone else. We've made a mistake in giving too many of these players long contracts.

Disagree on the long contracts part. We've tried to secure a decent spine with the club through the longer contracts offered to several players. The problem is where we've extended contracts for several who should have been moved out and replaced with fresh blood over the last 9 months

Everyone has their own opinion but this guy can't do wrong is a lot of fans eyes. Yes he is a talent I don't dispute that he had a very good season last season defo, but since signing his new contract he has been poor so far (like everyone I agree) but the guy isn't making runs like he was doing last season he was breaking his neck To get into attacking positions can't really see that so far, hopefully he will turn it round like I hope Hughes and the team can.. But who knows.. And let's highlight that 2 of their goals came from stupid free kicks that HE gave away. The 2nd he gave away the ball was gone and he was 5 minutes late no need at all. Yes the defending should of been better but come on most times you have to stop it before then 2 needless free kicks given away.
As for Hughes I like him but don't see how long he can last? He has seen how shite the defence has been for so long and he hasn't rectified this so can he really keep his job? Maybe Coates will give him until the next international break? If not changed maybe he will change.. Only saving grace is there are a lot of teams worse than Stoke. Top half I don't think so but definitely won't get relegated

I often start to feel sorry for footballers/managers and then I remember the absolutely obscene amount of money they earn and that feeling leaves me very quickly. I'd put up with working with incompetent fools for 70 grand a week or whatever it is we pay am now. I get the OP's point though

I'm not sure which other teams are worse.

Bournemouth are worse than Stoke.. Burnley are worse than Stoke.. Hull are worse than Stoke boro west brom want me to carry on?? Yes all have had decent starts to the season but they aren't in any way better.. Hughes needs to go to 442 play solid players maybe go abit more direct and knick 1-0s and pick up draws until confidence improves.. Fair enough trying to play the same way but it's clearly not working.. Things will improve hopefully sooner rather than later

I can´t imagine that one player could shine this time in that weak team. Everyone is out of form now. Allen, who had a good start at Stoke has played terrible too yesterday, also Bony. This should´nt be an excuse for Arnautovic, cause his performance has not been good this season so far.

...they know he is one of our better players that why at times on Sunday he had 3 players on him and it will be the same against West Brom but Pulis will be telling them to put your foot in and wind him up,remember last year two players sent off

And if we'd got off to a great start and all the players were only on short contracts leaving us wide open to players leaving for pittance you'd be going mental ...Hindsight is great in some people's minds He's a fantastic player

I wasn't at CP but other games this season his attitude stinks; strolling back from offside when he hasn't received the ball( everton and spurs defo); all the gesticulations. He can do it, but too many times he can't be arsed - we need 90 minute players not ones with an ego who think they just have to show up.

I don't accept that his attitude stinks - entitled to my opinion His body language at times shows his frustration with himself and his teammates. He does track back most of the time and has shown this so far His prime role is to be in attack Like most of us, he wants success and is unhappy when this doesn't happen Take a look at the fans when we give the ball away - a similar response? and we care

In my eyes he is not a team player but thinks more about his own success. Regarding his role to attack, he has largely been ineffective for the season so far as the bbc match report states "Andros Townsend's touchmap on the left shows how the England man affected the game in all areas of the pitch while Arnautovic's on the left shows the lack of impact he had as an attacking force" On saying that I like the majority of stories want him to start showing his talents consistently in a non petulant manner.

But he's a lazy show pony that doesn't give a toss.
Him and Joe Allen are the ONLY players to come out with any sort of credit so far, and I include my beloved Bojan in that statement.
Arnautovic is one of the most talented players in the league, enjoy him whilst he's here instead of wishing he ran around like a twat being caught offside like that useless accessory Walters.
