But he's a lazy show pony that doesn't give a toss. Him and Joe Allen are the ONLY players to come out with any sort of credit so far, and I include my beloved Bojan in that statement. Arnautovic is one of the most talented players in the league, enjoy him whilst he's here instead of wishing he ran around like a twat being caught offside like that useless accessory Walters. Bojan scared me the most yesterday actually. I've always loved him (maybe not as much as you) but he seemed a million miles away from the player he used to be.

More than any other player for me Arni plays like he really cares. Even when he's not at his best he never hides and works his arse off. I love Bojan at his best but he hides when things aren't going well. Seems like a great guy but we need more fight from him.

Attitude stinks? Seriously? If there's one player that looks like he's making it his mission to drag us out of this shit, it's Arnautovic.
I'll make a prediction now that everytime he gets the ball on Saturday, West Brom will have more players round him than you can shake a stick at. He'll be kicked off the park too, with no protection from Twatkinson who'll probably book him for dissent in the 70th minute when Arnie reacts because he's had enough of it.
Then we'll have absolute dickheads on here criticising him in equal measure for losing his discipline, not caring, not beating 5 men everytime he gets the ball, not scoring a hat-trick, and throwing his arms up in the air at some point, demonstrating that his attitude's not right.
Fuck off!

I watched Arnautovich quite closely on Sunday and he's so predictable and has been all season to be fair, in that he receives the ball sprints a few yards, stops cuts inside his man and lays it off and miraculously the ball ends up with Whelan who gets caught in possession.
Hughes has one idea and one idea only on how to approach games and it's far, far to easy for opposition mangers to nullify his game plan and its his inability to change why he must be sacked.
Toying with the idea of putting Arnautovich on the right in order for him to cross the ball first time to create more chances but with Bony thirty yards away with his back to goal what's the point.
Hughes has Royally ballsed this team up completely and the players looked lost.

Arni on the left is actually predictable with his usual stopping the run and cutting inside. He has the pace but rarely the courage to overrun his opponent. I would also prefer Arni on the right wing. He has often played there at Werder Bremen and put some decent, sharp crosses inside, but i have doubts that Bony is the man who handles those crosses. Walters can´t cross, he showed that against CP again - every cross from him ends at the first or second defender of the opposing team. Arni can cross indeed, but on the left wing we rarely see a cross from him, due to the fact i described in my first sentence. All in all it´s time for some changes in our team. Hughes has to try something new in the offensive, cause we have been very, very harmless so far.

to me he did look like one of a few on sunday who genuinely was bothered. yes he has sulks and gets frustrated but you can understand why playing in that team when you the main attacking threat and the service to you is woeful and also the willingness of your team mates to provide support.
i would actually be aiming my criticism at bojan on sunday. looked half arsed on the pitch, shirked challenges and gave the ball away several times with casual underhit passes.

Everyone has their own opinion but this guy can't do wrong is a lot of fans eyes. Yes he is a talent I don't dispute that he had a very good season last season defo, but since signing his new contract he has been poor so far (like everyone I agree) but the guy isn't making runs like he was doing last season he was breaking his neck To get into attacking positions can't really see that so far, hopefully he will turn it round like I hope Hughes and the team can.. But who knows.. And let's not highlight that 2 of their goals came from stupid free kicks that HE gave away. The 2nd he gave away the ball was gone and he was 5 minutes late no need at all. Yes the defending should of been better but come on most times you have to stop it before then 2 needless free kicks given away. As for Hughes I like him but don't see how long he can last? He has seen how shite the defence has been for so long and he hasn't rectified this so can he really keep his job? Maybe Coates will give him until the next international break? If not changed maybe he will change.. Only saving grace is there are a lot of teams worse than Stoke. Top half I don't think so but definitely won't get relegated Sunderland are probably worse than Stoke, though they only lost 1-0 away to Spurs and we lost 4-0 at home. I'm not sure which other teams are worse. So if Liverpool beat man city and Burnley beat Liverpool that means Burnley will beat man city?

Must be regretting that new contract every minute at the moment - hes on a different level than virtually all the rest of the squad.... Can we get one thing straight - he didn't have better options to go to. He took a contract because no one else pushed hard for him despite whatever way he spun it. In return he got a pay rise and job security. Have absolutely no pity for the guy, he's been poor also. Just because one guy try's a little harder than the rest doesn't mean it's anywhere near the effort / standard required for the money he's earning. Granted he can't change things on his own but people need to stop lowering their standards and comparing to the rest of the team.

Can we get another thing straight - You know absolutely nothing about what happens behind closed doors, so you have no idea what offer Arnie had or didn't have. You have no clue if any club pushed hard for him or not... Why don't you stick to opinions based on fact and not what you 'think' might of happened.

Classy from Arn. Can't help but love the madman. This is exactly what we need. Positive. Attitude. Balls. Totally agree that Instagram thing is exactly what we want to see from the players. BUT, Arnie is one of the senior players now and it would better if he started showing at least some hint of leadership qualities on the pitch and start getting a grip on his teammates never mind himself when things are going wrong. Though with his body language issues, Arnie being Arnie etc, I'm not sure he's got that in him.

Occasionally Arnie is a genius but all too often he is very ordinary, and appears interested only in his own performance. He is very much the individual but certainly not a great motivational team player. Did he not give away two free kicks that both led to goals against us on Sunday? In my opinion, and that is all it is, he needs a good kick up the backside and a two or three games sat on the bench may alter his overall attitude - but I doubt it.

In my opinion, and that is all it is, he needs a good kick up the backside and a two or three games sat on the bench may alter his overall attitude - but I doubt it. What? ....what? He gave away free kicks because he was chasing back to win the ball and using strength to win it. He chased back and gave everything to try and win the ball to then drive the team forward. What good would benching him do? We have shit all else for the left side while Hughes doesn't use Sobhi and Walters on the right is just as tragic. Taking our best player out of the side because a few fans think he has a non existent attitude problem will probably send us down. What attitude do you want from him? To clap and smile, never to look upset? To be emotionally dead inside? To look permanently grateful that he's playing football? He talked to the staff, the players, he voiced concerns on the pitch and led by example. Our players can learn from Arnautovic.

Completely agree but therein lies part of our problem. We have a lot of players who when they have the confidence are almost too good for us. If they are all full of confidence and the momentum is with them they are capable of challenging for the top six. On the flip side, take away the confidence and they are the extreme opposite. The psychology of many of our players mean that whatever direction we are heading in that trajectory is further extended than it would otherwise be.

I've been really impressed with Arnie's effort on and off the ball, it astounds me that people still question his commitment, maybe its just lazy analysis.
Agree with above that Bojan's form is much more worrying, he seems to lose the ball so easily and is knocked off the ball so easily still.
