Even better. Beat someone up at school tomorrow to make yourself feel better. Slag of your own team needlessly to make yourself feel better. 'off', rather than 'of'. And hardly needlessly under the circumstances.

I don't agree with all this "Hughes has got one game left" stuff, tonight wasn't his fault, he fielded a decent team, and did the best he could as a manager - We performed better than recent games and positives can be taken. We were undone by bad luck and not being able to take our chances, but I think it was more bad luck.

According to Radio Stoke two defensive lapses, not taking chances and pointless passing, sounds about right. Business end not good enough, Didnt deserve to win the game... According to Radio Stoke or according to you talking shit... Again. According to RS, Griff to be exact. Oh and he's bang on the money, lack of discipline slating the shocking, terrible defence now.

im taking positives from this despite the loss. Sobhi sounded like he had a great match and Cameron should start ahead of Whelan on saturday You'd be a fucking moron to not start them in the middle the percentages are night and day. Geoff for 'ard work, Sobhi for creativity. I'd have Bojan over Imbula to start personally and have similar subs from the bench. Diouf, Charlie and Imbula. But you never know, been crying for a Sobhi start and we get 27 shot on target and lose.

Unbelievable, I just feel numb, nothing else. Where do we go? What's happening with Stoke? Dominated the game but yet luck has fucked us over. Give Mark the West Brom match.

Somethings even a change up can't spoil. We need to focus on defence and make sure we stop the ball. I'm going down the sacrificial lamb route next if Saturday doesn't change that.

Slag of your own team needlessly to make yourself feel better. 'off', rather than 'of'. And hardly needlessly under the circumstances. Thanks for correcting the spelling dad... An 'f' is easy to miss. And yeah it was needless, we performed well tonight and were unlucky, for sure positives to take, but instead of saying that, you'd rather call the team names... Great support.

Not the end of the world is it. Commentary sounded as if we dominated most of the game. Only worrying thing for me is, we just can't seem to score goals when the opportunities arise. Nothing seems to be falling for us at all. We've gotta start making our own luck, starting this Saturday.
The big plus tonight is Sohbi was played and it sounded very much like he has earned his starting place for Saturday's game against the baggies (i hope).
Please Stoke....WIN ON SATURDAY.

You can play as well as you like.
Don't score and concede sloppy goals and you are dead.
The performance was very heartening and indicative that the squad are still with him but fuck me, what do we work on in training?

Sounds like we played well tonight just didn't have the breaks. Certainly lots of questions answered answered and one big bonus Sobhi.
The most worrying thing for me is that we seem to be totally incapable of keeping clean sheets. Not sure if it's totally down to the absence of Butland but the oppositions shots to goals ratio must be the best in the PL.
For me from what I heard I'd keep it the same with the exception of Shaquiri in for Imbula V WBA.
Very difficult to take positives from defeat but at least we didn't have to play an extra 30 mins.
V The baggies
...............Grant.............
Johnson...Ryan.......Indi....Eric
.........GCam.........Allen......
.Arni...........Shaq.......Sobhi.
................Bony.............
Though I have to say choosing between Bony and Mame is very close.

Our team must rank amongst the most unlucky ever !! Still if Hughes takes his lessons from this game then there is still hope This season is all about staying in the EPL now If we do succeed in that mission then we can build on all we have for next season This year is survival year Onwards and upwards as from next season My thoughts too, well said, we will be fine.....

Ducking hell I love these 10000 crowds home in 6 min,First half plenty of the ball side to side great goal, but no clear cut chances from open play, got caught by a sucker punch midfield player allowing oppersition to go past them while adjusting gloves.Second half all frantic goal mouth scrambles, don't know who was worse Bonny or Diouf, loads of possession no penetration. This was against a reserve back four,so fuck knows how we score Saturday.Last goal Charlie thought he was on strictly come dancing ,then our CH well I am going bed.

for me its all down to the transfer strategy
We have collected a group of players who were 'available' be it for free or on loan and what little money we have spent appears to have been poorly invested
Tonight was actually OK and Im not basing these comments on our performance but I will state that we clearly have players we simply dont know how to use (Bony is an example of this - clearly a last minute plan B option who we are now having to integrate without much thought as to where he fits in when we signed him}
I have said it before and Ill say it again but money has not been spent where it needed to be (principally the defence) and it doesnt matter who the manager is because that isnt something that can be easily or quickly rectified.

For me its our midfielders afraid to put in a tackle or win the ball, or even stopping the phase. As a club we've become the stand off watch their feet defenders instead of closing down, slowing build up. It is a systemic problem.

Agree - defensive midfield is an other stand out area of under investment

We're now being left behind by the likes of Palace and Watford. Rather than pushing on we've stagnated and problems with the team have been ignored.
As for tonight, we can't score and we can't defend. Two decent attempts they had and two goals. Same old shite.

Actually thought we played okay tonight, but it's results that count. I do expect us to turnover the Baggies, probably with a winning goal that Foster clears into Olsens face from where it rebounds into the path of Yacub to spoon home.

Shawcross looked like he couldn't be bothered half of the time tonight. There was no urgency to his game whatsoever. Which of the goals was his fault? The one that Allen failed to track or the one Indy let run off him? Perhaps those 2 were the ones who actually couldnt be bothered to track or show any urgency?
