But seriously, if Hughes does go I think we need to look at some of the smaller clubs making big waves at the moment: Mainz Sassuolo Guingamp Angers Las Palmas Looking at the list of available managers is not looking great!

I have a mate who supports Huddersfield and he was very impressed with Wagner last season, when he transformed them from likely relegation candidates and has carried on their form into this season. Heard an interview with him and was very impressed, speaks good English , I believe he was Klopp's No 2 at Borrusia Dortmond.

I think he's a good manager, Claus - but 1 win in 8 (scoring 2 goals) to start his career at Derby probably isn't going to win him any Premier League admirers. If Moyes was still available, Coatesy would probably be after him like a shot.

Hoddle might be a good shout , he is a good coach and might want to build a club the way Coates wants it to go , but our talent spotters would need to be binned off for sure , he would want to control that I don't get the Hoddle "thing" in the slightest.
