Youd of thought sweeney would be a starter? That is interesting. Wonder if we're loaning him out?

I bet Charlie is feeling a bit embarrassed playing in this game in front of about 100 supporters.
Disgusting that we have entered this cup imo, I also think we are going to get a smashing and a serious wake up call to how bad academy football is in this country. Young players getting too much too soon.

He's always seemed to be really encouraging and supportive of the young lads when they've managed to get onto the pitch, so maybe he sees this as a good opportunity?

Yes, with Bradford Bury and Morecambe. Tom Pope will be licking his lips about smashing one of our kiddies.

I would tend to take a similar view. Charlie gives the impression of being someone who wants to stay in football for the long term and could end up as a player manager in a few years. As long as he isn't teaching the youngsters how (not) to tackle, he could be a good influence as the "old head"

For a game we're meant to lose 10-0, it's sounded very end to end and even so far.

I'm only listening to it but it sounds like Verlinden is the kind of player who can make something happen out of nothing. Really hope he stays and fulfils his potential with us.

Hold up, I filmed that and was about to post link. Rapid work downloading it off my YouTube but still, cheeky cunts. Edit: apologies, he must have been sat next to me. Surreal. Stewards were v keen to chuck you out for filming as well. Bit harsh.

It sounds like they're more than holding their own which is ace. Certainly seems they don't look out of place which is good to hear. We do actually have a few young lads who you think might have a chance.

We do actually have a few young lads who you think might have a chance. There's a few of them that I don't think would look out of place in the league. Lecygne, Shenton, Verlinden and N'Goy being the main ones. Telford is good but he's a bit too small for now for a Premier League striker for me and needs a season on loan to figure that out and how to make that work.

Good first half performance according to Radio Stoke. Shows how much playing alongside a couple of experienced pros can help the youngsters.
