Man City are quality and will win the league. No disgrace to lose to them however I thought our defending for the second goal really knocked the stuffing out of us. A stupid free kick to concede and then really poor defending to let one of the smallest players on the field beat Shawcross and Wolly in the air. How did this happen. Goals 3 & 4 were soft but by then the game was pretty much over. Overall a much better performance than last week. The season is two games old and no need to panic.

Lots of disappointments right now but by far the biggest is Bojan.

The second goal was scored by ManC's smallest player who was marked by one our smallest players (Whelan) in front and Wolly behind him. Shawcross was marking space (and balling watching).

ManC took their chances, Stoke didn't because there weren't any to take despite ManC having their best defenders out. Given had very little to do except pick the ball out of the net 4 times. You you need to give your heads a collective wobble.
edit this was a reply to the podcast.

I'm actually watching it again just now. Whelan on their second goal, not that position again surely. Should have been a penalty on Allen, but Diouf should have scored also. That's as far as I've got up to now.
