Only 2 players tried to take the fight to Boro. Imbula and less successfully Bojan but credit to him for trying when others were content to go sideways or backwards. I am hoping like mad that Bojan just needs a few games to get back to what he was. Hopefully good memories of Man City last season will spur him on this weekend. Imbula needs players flying past him to pass to when he's steaming through the middle with the ball, and that just doesn't happen.

Everyone keeps talking about Bojan back to how he was before his injury, but how many games was it that he was playing so fantastically. I think this stellar period was around 5-6 games as he started the season very slow, had a period on the sidelines, and was then injured from early January onwards. Of course, he will benefit from games but you can say that about any player, and there can only be so many chances he can be given before other of the several options in that position are tried out.
Having said that, I thought he was ok on Saturday and must play against Man C and his old Barca boss, which should inspire him.

The only period where he looked really really good was for around a month in his first season, from the end of November to end of December.

He needs a bit more brutality to compliment him.

He definitely needs a forward ahead of him who can hold the ball up and Bojan can make runs off him. We need a mobile targetman

He really has to produce now because Hughes must be getting to the thin end of the wedge with him. Fail and I don't know where Bojan goes from here...it's slowly becoming a Palacios-lite saga.
