I would rather us have him in and around the squad getting the odd appearance than spend 20 million on a player who goes on strike if he does not get what he wants. When did he go on strike ?.....he did no different to Walters at Ipswich to force through a move to Stoke or Higginbottom at Stoke to force a move to Sunderland What are your opinions on them ? ...oh and don't forget Odimeingie

I understand, but would be be better getting proper game time, starting games I mean ( or the odd 20mins for us when we are 2-0 down or 2-0up) can he still play for u21's if he gets first team minutes? If he can I don't see the problem mixing the two? He's still young enough to get a full season loan next season if he's not quite ready following on from a January loan move He's either first team or not, can't really mix both. if Hughes feels he is ready then great but use him, if he's unsure loan him out for 3 months. Easy as that

Apparently he's gone with the first team to the US, while the U21's are heading for a tournament in Barcelona. Kudos to Leslie if this is the case. Won't do us any harm throwing some in now & again getting reasonable minutes, get known for it and it'll give us better chances of bringing in further sought after players of younger age

If they are good enough they will get a game I'm sure, but if they ain't then no point as all you will do is piss senior players off who they replace on the bench.

Hardly prolific last season we're we

Apart from that the rest of your reply was spot on

Are we only to sign players in the top 8 in the Premier League now? Do you wish we had not signed Butland from a Championship club? Or would you turn your nose up at Willian because he plays for a team who finished below us last season?

Can anyone confirm he's defiantly travelled with first team squad to the u.s? I think you have to have a academy of a certain standard when in the prem? Might be wrong though
