There is a problem on the system that it won't allow more than one vote from the same email address, even where it is a different person with a different number. It is of course not uncommon for more than one person in a household to share the same email address.

It said pick one for me also and now won't let me go back in and amend it.
Shame as there are a few deserving of a vote.

I will draw the club's attention to this. I have had a helpful reply from Anthony Emmerson. Whilst it did say " a maximum of five can be selected" there was also a line which said "please tick one of the boxes" which the club agree can lead people to very reasonably conclude that they only had one vote. Bayern was right ( not often we say that ) That line will be deleted. If supporters who have only cast one vote wish to cast some more, they can email supporters@stokecityfc.com in confidence with their additional votes which will be added. You will obviously need to give your name and number. Likewise for anyone who is caught by the restriction of one vote per email address.

I voted for two only. The two who appeared to have put some effort into the statement and not who their favourite player is. I think it is fair comment to say that most of the statements look back rather rather than forward i.e what candidates have done rather than what they would do if elected to the Council i.e what issues they would like to pursue with the club, how they would keep in touch with their electorate, what ideas they have for making the Council more effective etc. This is a mistake which, in my experience, is also often made by people making job applications. One the best pieces of advice I was given about job interviews was to get the panel envisaging you in the job, by talking about how you would see yourself in the future in the job rather than only retailing your great previous achievements.

One the best pieces of advice I was given about job interviews was to get the panel envisaging you in the job, by talking about how you would see yourself in the future in the job rather than only retailing your great previous achievements. It depends on the role and how far you are in the process. On an initial application stage you need to understand what the candidate is able to bring either through qualification or experience including key achievements. This is what gets you through the door. You are right though that once "in" it is the face to face discussion about what you bring to the business and how you could improve/drive strategic oversight. I don't need to know the past per se as that is what brought you in front of me. Anyone who regales their CV is a no no. This is from executive down to the machinist.... The statement system implemented here is not quite the same and sits inbetween the two. It not only asks for who you are so that people can understand your background but also ask what areas you think are key. Without fully knowing where projects are sat, how far they are in delivery and the priorities for club and supporters (that you could eek out during face to face and not capture on minutes) you cannot fully base what you bring without stepping on other's action plans. I would love to invest time on this, I would love to reinforce and improve the experience for exiles as well as all supporters as sometimes we can be lost in the humdrum "local" items. I cannot do so until I understand what others are working on too. I applied for 2 seats so my statement was very broad to cover both items but the good news is that there are some very very credible candidates with great ideas. if I am unsuccessful I know these guys have a strong future planned for Stoke Supporters and will fully support them

I could understand it if they had actually DONE something. One chap mentions how match experience has improved since the formation of the council. I'd love to know how!?!?!!?

Just got my votes in - 3
Daniel (I assume he's German Stokie), Brian (Actually put forward some ideas on what needs improving) and Angela (Basically the only one who bothers to inform us of anything on here).
I could have voted for more but the others got eliminated for various reasons.
1) Related to Bear Shit TV - I'll never forget that video of him getting destroyed by the Arsenal twat concerning Ramseygate. He'd get bent over by Scholes.
2) Blah blah, no ideas, fave player bollocks.
3) Some guy pitched as though it was the supporters council that would pick him. As though no improvement was needed. Didn't address the fans.
4) 2 of the others said they were already on the council....stopped reading after that.

Well the results are through and I was unfortunate not to be selected. Thank you for everyone who did vote for me, I appreciated it and I am happy that I stepped forward to at least try for the exile representation. I will try again at the next voting and perhaps detail my statement differently (within the 250 word allowance lol) Congratulations to those who were selected and I wish you well for the future in your endeavors to continually improve the supporter's 'experience' and the fan and club relationships. Good luck and God Bless guys! (Out of interest, I wonder if I was close or was I well out in numbers of votes??)

I personally thought I sounded a little too corporate compared to the other guys, but I know there are some very credible candidates based on their statements who I believe will continue to develop and improve on the foundation that we have. Thanks again for your support, I am truly humbled and it is seriously is very well appreciated. Maybe next time I will be more successful In the meantime I hope we can all support the successful candidates in driving the club/council working relationship forward, including both constructive criticism and applause

Others may disagree I guess....

Ha ha, perhaps that is a reason why they didn't want me as i deal with CEO's on a day to day basis so can easily determine answers between the lines to difficult questions and challenge as such I'm only joking but thanks again again guys!
