Wouldn't it be great if Burton could do it again and this was a league fixture the next season!

All about the culture we are. 😂 You won't see much of the game then Anyone going the game the closest pub is The Great Northern which is over the roundabout and over the railway line on the left. Probably the best one is The Beech which is along Derby Road (with the ground to the left) for about 500 yards and it's on the left by the Pirelli factory. I'm told they've bought/are buying an outdoor bar to cater for away fans next year (like the one at Blackburn) so they might give it a run out for us. Rich, The Derby Inn is along Derby Rd in the opposite direction to the Beech (ie turn right at the roundabout). It's a good boozer but very small. Jamo which brewery are you doing? If you're going into Burton try The Coopers Tavern in Cross St then The Devonshire Arms around the corner in Station St. Anyonewho likes cheap pisswater lager there's a Wetherspoons

Hopefully they'll let you have Bass to drink because the Coors is pretty cack. I'd offer to give you a tour of the best watering holes but I'm on holiday. The Coopers and the Devvy are about 10 minutes from the Brewery Centre.

Really looking forward to this day out, used to play for Ind Coope who were a feeder club for Burton Albion in the late 70'early 80's.Played at all levels upto under 16 for them,Neil Warnock would occasionally watch some of our training sessions as Burton's first team shared the same training facilities.Going to visit Stapenhill as there are a few decent CAMRA boozers in that area.Only 4 or 5 miles from Burton's ground, thankfully my son is doing the driving so i can sample some very decent pubs on our trip over the Trent Bridge. Always had a soft spot for Burton, even though as a kid in the 70's and early 80's i was the only Stoke City fan in our school i took loads of stick from Derby fans(most people in Burton supported Derby at that time).Had many a trip to Eton Park when they played at non-league level.Very nice town and surrounding area that fully deserves a high profile football club. But you can take the lad out of Stoke but never ever take Stoke City Football Club out of the lad.So happy when we moved back to the area(Cheddleton in 1985),but i really wish Burton Albion FC a great season.

Mate, try The Elms on Stapenhill Road. It's the dogs bollocks. You could call in at the Burton Bridge Brewery before you go over the Trent Bridge as well. Can't think of many other decent boozers in Stapenhill. Quite a few have shut down (as they have in most places)
