Change our hideous club badge?
Is it an agenda the supporters club could raise? Nobody can be a fan surely

I can see why it was done. It simplifies it and stands out to identify who we are. I used to like the old badge but it didn't shout out stoke city to those that didn't know. I haven't got a problem with it.

Phil Rawlins knocked it up in his lunch break as his parting shot didn't he?
And with it went decades of history and any connection with the town.
I wouldn't personally put it on a bag of crisps but I understand the argument that it is cheap as chips to manufacture and gum on shirts and other marketing assets.
The blue on it remains stubbornly inexplicable.
I suppose the acid test is whether or not on seeing it you feel a rush of pride, a sense of identity and have a patriotic tear in your eye, sadly it comes up short on all 3 counts for me.

I don't have a problem with the new badge and am happy with it. If we were to ever change it though, I'd prefer just the main shield like we had in the 70s - the full Stoke on Trent crest with the plumage is too fussy

It's not a badge.
If you are called Stoke City and your kit consists of red and white stripes, writing Stoke City over red and white stripes doesn't make it a badge.
It's just putting a border around your name and kit colours.

Add 1863 somewhere and you have a great great badge. Failing that get rid of the fucking Icelandic blue off the current concoction...

Also, people talking about the current badge being cost effective to produce, well considering how extortionately priced football shirts are then we should be demanding a high quality sewn in badge that justifies the sacrifice of that cost.

The problem with that badge (which I like as well) is that the club can't copyright it because it is part of the Stoke on Trent coat of arms. And if they can't copyright it, then they can't stop ANYONE sticking it on any shirt. it would be an open invition to the sweat shops of India and China to knock out as many fake Stoke City shirts as they could sell.

There must be 1,000,001 things to worry about before we get to the badge.

I think it's quite nice the Stoke badge but fair enough if you want to change it. Many clubs, like Leicester, prefer the old badges which seemingly had more uniqueness.

This one then. Yes, I like the SL&P creation. Certainly it icorporates the kiln and the Staffordshire knot which should always be on any Stoke City badge in my opinion. Maybe it as the basis for a (more tradional?) shield design? And perhaps include "The Potters"?

Our badge has been into space, which is a good reason to keep it. Imagine if Tim Peake comes to a Stoke game and we said "Tim, you know your way around the cosmos, can you take another one of these up there for us? The last one didn't have a knot on".

I think ours turned out fine. Worst case scenario would have been a designer spotting the very random camel on the old City crest and turning us into a cartoon. The below one was knocking around on the internet a while back although the black looks a bit too 'Sheffield United' or 'Sunderland' for my liking. I don't mind the blue, it sets it off nicely although I saw a mock up replacing it with more of a navy which looked better. I doubt we'll see a revamp for a good while yet, especially if they're sprucing up the ground with new images of the current crest.

Oh Jesus, I hadn't seen that Barnsley badge since I was a child and seeing it as a grown man is like seeing it for the first time. That might be the worst football crest ever. It's asif they created it and then thought "how can we make it even shitter?" then added the mascot's name.
