Phil Rawlins knocked it up in his lunch break as his parting shot didn't he? And with it went decades of history and any connection with the town. I wouldn't personally put it on a bag of crisps but I understand the argument that it is cheap as chips to manufacture and gum on shirts and other marketing assets. . I suppose the acid test is whether or not on seeing it you feel a rush of pride, a sense of identity and have a patriotic tear in your eye, sadly it fails on all 3 counts for me. The blue on it remains stubbornly inexplicable. the blue is to incorporate the icelandic flag colours into new badge, this was hatched during there take over. Phil Rawlins had a role in designing the new badge as far as I remember, but it was originally designed without the blue. Someone else added the blue during the process, if my memory serves me correctly.

I was told you need permission from Lord Stafford to kuse the Staffordshire Knot as it belongs to his family. Don't think there would be a problem though

As it is Father's Day, the family have taken me for a drive to the Brit.
The big posters of Stan and Abdy are gone. The ghostly impression of the Britannia sign remains in dirt and grime - hope they are going to do something with it before the Bet365 sign goes up.
The lack of seats looks odd in the East Stand.
And there is a huge pile of sand behind the South Stand.

Never mind the badge, which brain dead moron designed the worst ever premier league football shirt with the abysmal white patch on the back, it is worse than Newcastles,

Obviously the club said yes to it but it's a myth to describe it as Icelandic blue.

The badge is a joke. Anything with your nickname on it is two bob. Designed by a bloke set lose with a few felt pens whose spent too much time in the States.

A bit of a shock when it first appeared but I have grown to like it. I like to think that its simplicity enforces the red and white stripes as a strong aspect of our heritage and identity. If I'm not mistaken, I think we were the first of the 'obvious' red and white teams to sport this design, so I think this works well to that end.

Change our hideous club badge? Is it an agenda the supporters club could raise? Nobody can be a fan surely Yep. I like it.

What has filling the corners in got to do with changing the badge?
Now that we have (fill in random event that's happened), can we now get round to changing the badge?
Oh, and why do people STILL call it the "new" badge? It's been more than 10 years since the change! Get over it. As least we are not having our name changed to the Stoke Daisies!

The top left item is "Premier team badges reimagined" Didn't change them as drastically as I would have, but an interesting read.

Never mind the badge, which brain dead moron designed the worst ever premier league football shirt with the abysmal white patch on the back, it is worse than Newcastles, I can think of plenty of shirts much worse than ours from the premier league era and our shirt is better than Newcastle's last 4 or 5 shirts no question. They haven't had a good home kit in years

I'd say that's about right. Its been dumbed down to virtually rock bottom lacks imagination and little reference to staffs and our heritage. As a logo/ brand it smacks of small time and is instantly forgettable. I can say this as a marketing professional of some 30 years standing. Get it rebranded to reflect our lofty status as one of the richest clubs in Europe

I quite like the new club badge -well designed - simple and effective
now a worldwide brand too - Stoke On Trent should surely be taking advantage of
As for the corner
it is just that
Corner -(singular)

I detest our current 'cartoon' badge, and have stuck to my original vow and haven't bought a single piece of merchandise with it on. My favourite is still the 1968 badge (see avatar left) but failing that have always liked the 80's one which, as in this enamel badge, could be revamped to contain our full name rather than initials.
