One of the eyewitnesses is saying he didn't hear the attacker shout that. I would hesitate to ascribe any beliefs to this guy, it sounds like he has a history of mental illness, i wonder if he was on psychotropic drugs ? or maybe coming off them ? Yep the guy is white so he can only be mentally ill ... Shame he isn't brown, he'd score big terrorist points. Not at all, there have been plenty of so called muslim led attacks perpetrated by clearly mentally unstable people. If reports are accurate Tommy Mair has been an in patient at mental health clinic and has a history of mental problems, he's described by people who know him as someone who "wouldn't hurt a fly" and as far as we know has no history of violent behaviour, so it's possible he's had some kind of psychological break perhaps caused by drug withdrawal, although thats just my speculation, you often find individuals who do things like this are on some kind of mind altering psychotropic prescription drugs.

The selective description of this killer as a 'crazed loner' is a blatent politicisation of this incident. It is a fact he was a subscriber to a right wing white supremacist magazine for 10 years. That's hardly a passing phase! 10% of our population are termed as clinically depressed and on prescription drugs. Are we saying that we can dismiss as irrelevant the political persuasions of all people who are deemed as having mental health issues and taking medication for psychological problems? I don't think so. If that is the case then the beliefs of the killer of Lee Rigby must also be irrelevant if we are going to be consistent.

Depression isn't the only mental disorder that exists, he may have had something much more severe like a form of schizophrenia, we know whatever disorder he had was severe enough for him to be admitted to a clinic, put on medication and given psychotherapy in recent years. should probably wait till more details come out from this before commenting any further, shame the pro remain press haven't done the same. But even IF it turns out he was a rabid brexit supporter it doesn't mean anything and anyone using it as a stick to beat brexiters with is just a vulgar propagandist.

Once again, the media coverage of this incident has been utterly shameful and continues to be. The Guardian, Huffington Post etc, using it as a great opportunity to further their support for the Remain campaign, while the Leave campaign claim this is the best thing to happen for the Remain campaign.... "this was caused by people supporting Brexit using terms like 'Breaking Point'" wtf? Really? Incredible.
What amazes me, is the double standards shown by these newspapers, UAF, all these disgustingly left wing organizations (and I'm slightly left leaning myself btw). When Lee Rigby was murdered it was "remain calm, don't allow right wing news outlets to use this for political gain", when it's Jo Cox, or more to the point, someone on the same team, they've repeatedly used this as a way to further their message. Disgraceful.
Mind has been made up, I'm voting leave.

The difference with this is that she has been murdered in the process of trying to further a cause through legal and peaceful means. I think that to use it to further that cause in a peaceful manner, honours her. From what I gather the use of it would not be in contradiction to her beliefs in any way. If it was in doubt then it really would be opportunism. This way the violence is defeated.

I'm not normally one for conspiracy theories, however to me the extensive media coverage now emerging throughout Europe with European leaders sending their condolences while referencing her political beliefs surrounding Syria and the EU seems a bit "fishy" and unnecessary to me. This, when recent polls put he leave campaign ahead of remain...
The accused is be a perfect candidate for an intelligence agency to influence and become a "patsy".

No evidence for that scenario though.

That said, the way the remain campaign are exploiting this is incredible.

Some of the comments on here are utterly shameful. A young glowing MP with good in her heart is brutally killed in a terrorist attack...and lets be clear this was a terrorist attack as much as the death of Lee Rigby. The terrorist killed Jo whilst shouting in the name of an idiology....a far right idiology. All we have here is people using it as some kind of push between leave or stay??? What the hell is wrong with everyone??? This whole referendum has been done in such a divisive way that I dont think this country will ever recover. Its totally split into. I grieve for Jo and all she stood for. She was very supportive of many of the campaigns I've helped towards in my line of work. She wanted a world of peace..... the world today is broken and "great" britain is at the heart of all that is wrong with it. When you can label and accuse a whole community and religion of one brutal murder on our streets yet turn a blind eye to another..something is very very wrong.

All those who say that this is defo a terrorist attack are just as wrong as those who say that it isn't. The inquest will decide if this bloke was of sound mind or not, not the papers nor the people who make there mind up depending on what they read in them. In my opinion, if he's declared insane then it's no terrorist attack and Jo Cox will join a very long list of people failed by our piss poor mental health services, if he's declared sane then it's a terrorist attack. The sickest thing at the moment are all of those trying to link this to Brexit, they should hang their heads in shame.

Who is using it as a political stick?
Be serious for a fucking minute.
Man is a member of political organisation National Alliance, white supremacy being the backbone of the organisation. Man subscribes to literature of the Springbok club, an organisation who seeks to implement apartheid back into SA. Man subscribes to literature from Blood & Honour, a political group with links to Combat 18. Man attends EDL rallies. Man shouts Britain First whilst murdering an MP.
Nah, ain't political whatsoever.

You are being extremely selective Nearly all the newspapers referred to the killer of Lee Rigby as Islamicist, Muslim Fanatic, Terrorist in the first paragraph of their reports. The Sun ran with headline using the phrase 'Muslim Fanatic' Daily Mail ran with 'Islamic Fanatic' Today the Sun ran with 'Crazed Loner' You are doing exactly the same as those you criticise!
