Terrible shame what has happened to her.
... What will be even worse is when, and I have no doubt this will happen, people start using it as somekind of tool for us staying in the EU. I can hear the slimey fucks like Cameron rubbing his hands together from here.

Reports saying the attacker shouted "britain first" One of the eyewitnesses is saying he didn't hear the attacker shout that. I would hesitate to ascribe any beliefs to this guy, it sounds like he has a history of mental illness, i wonder if he was on psychotropic drugs ? or maybe coming off them ?

Maybe better to wait a day or two and see if they can figure out why the murderer did what he did, and then go from there.

just seen Corbyn; looks genuinely very upset. Maybe he is a dinosaur but I cant help but like the guy.
Youre better just not watching the news, aside from all the manipulation & social conditioning, its just total depression; its actually a proven fact that it causes or worsens depression.

Rarely does the news leave be completely gobsmacked. This is just absolutely terrible. She was just trying to make the World better and paid with her life.
Rest in Peace
BTW - I really hope in the ensuing by-election all other parties decline to put forward a candidate and allow the Labour candidate a straight win. It would seem extremely unseemly to fight over a seat that has become available in such tragic circumstances

If this is true and she has deleted her accusations Maria Eagle should be ashamed of herself, using the tragic murder of her colleague for political gain is utterly disgraceful and if true she should be forced to resign her post, it is a sad indictment on our society that this terrible incident should be used as some sort of political football, God bless this poor lady and her family.

To me, this is no place for suggesting what either campaign will do this tragic situation. There's a 50-odd page thread for us to all argue the toss about the referendum. If even politicians can unite around this tragedy for a few hours, I don't see why the posters on here can't.

So should ALL deaths be treated as non-political? If not, who selects, and on what basis? See my post hereThat article doesn't answer the question at all. You can drawer either conclusion from that article depending on what way you want to look at. So a murder by anyone described as a 'loner' is non-political Or, someone subscribing to a right wing magazine is 'political' Whichever one you choose to go far will be determined by your own existing political inclinations You could argue that anyone who murders anyone in this manner has 'mental health' problems. All I see on here is everybody trying to fit this event to their own arguments and prejudices.

All I see on here is everybody trying to fit this event to their own arguments and prejudices. That is the exact reason why I posted the link. And why I said probably a victim. When a murder is committed by someone who is, shall we say, paranoid schizophrenic, The media will say the murder was committed by a person who is paranoid schizophrenic. When a murder is committed by a so called normal person. They never say the murder was committed by a normal person. However you are 70% more likely to be killed by a normal person than a person with mental illness. In this case he has a mental illness. The really sad thing is I am sure Jo Cox would have been willing to help him. link

I know you're of the type that enthusiastically ingests the bile that the likes of Britain first serves up but ffs have some dignity you treacherous fool. There are several witnesses to have come forward, all of whom claim the attacker uttered Britain first. That article is a pile of shit. The heroic 77 year old who suffered injuries trying to defend Jo shouted Britain first? Get real. I'm no fan of Eagles but it's obvious to all with a braincell that she's been asked to remove the tweet as to not harm the investigation, not because she was incorrect. You want some background on this guy, Tommy Mair? Prominent NA neo-nazi, links to all sorts of white power organisations, EDL participant & subscriber to several white supremacist publications. I know it's difficult for someone of your intellect but try and see the woods from the trees. I'm genuinely perturbed that people like you breathe the same air as the rest of us, carpslayer too, just heinous.
