Is this enough flags for you guys? Or what about this? I think my grandfather got the wrong end of the stick when i mentioned flags for vehicles during the EM... Something about bringing back memories?? You can afford to be smug mate!! Semis at least! ☺ To be fair... Although I'm nervous about how we do and can't see us getting to the final... At the same time I would be bitterly disappointed if we went out at that stage... Or didn't even win....

I'd be gutted.... Simply because I know the amount of vitriol and goading I'd receive by certain quarters. I'm all for banter and good fun but I still have memories from 1990 and 1996 when people threatened me physically before we even played each other let alone after the result.
Don't get me wrong, if England won the EM I'd be disappointed that it wasn't us and have some light hearted banter... But I'd wish you well.
I'd rather we lose against anyone else and England win than lose against England so far into the tournament, Semi's or Final simply from experience. That said, during the oatcake rivals days there was some great banter from all and I made some great friends!
I'm sure however it wouldn't come to that this time though and any defeat by England would be a jovial affair.... Sorry just being honest from previous experience.

Admittedly some German fans are the same..... Unfortunately... I have to say I am really surprised to hear you say that, GermanStokie. I've been married to a German for 18 years, go to Germany several times a year, have been in Germany during both Euros and World Cups and I can't ever think of one instance where a German fan has had a go at me for being an England supporter. In fact, they are normally infuriatingly polite in sympathising with me when things have gone wrong for England. Maybe that's because I spend a lot of time in the North, where they are very well mannered, unlike the South

Hence the some German fans. Overall I agree with you and to be fair it is the same for the majority of English fans too... The majority are fantastic people much like on here.... Despite us being the "master" race The incidents from personal experience were in England itself.... And it was shocking as I never experienced when back home...But please don't take it as a slight against the vast majority.. So so Sorry guys, I didn't mean to go down this rabbit hole

Re. your experiences here, my wife has had exactly the same in the past, even away from events such as England / Germany matches. Anyway, it all starts today and then let's hope by Sunday that we are both celebrating due to resounding victories over Russia and Ukraine. I shall be recording the scores on my EM 2016 Spielplan obtained at Hugendubel in Frankfurt last week

But you have seen clauses 1918 and 1945? They override all other clauses in the european and worldwide standards True!!!! But then surely these are negated by the joint interference in 1815 that caused the French to fail their testing ???????? Let's call it a draw and maybe we can settle this with a new clause on July 10th?
