Wow, gaining a bit of pace this one. Got a feeling Coates would go for Pearson, which would, IMHO, be a disaster. I've no idea who I'd want. Think he'd go for Moyes. I could live with that. Don't think Hughes will go though.

Sparky ain't going anywhere. Atleast I hope he isn't.
Out of interest if Sparky did go, would anyone take Brendan Rodgers?

Don't think Hughes will go though. Moyes would be nailed on. I don't mind Rodgers, but I'm not convinced we have a squad he could work with at the moment. His best teams have been all about pace and we just don't have enough. We don't really have the kind of metronomic passer at the base of midfield he likes either.

I think he's a decent manager but he buried himself with his David Brent act. But he can only really play a certain way and he's beyond useless with money.

would anyone take Brendan Rodgers? As long as he agrees to never talk in public about anything, or make any decisions or do any training. Actually I don't think I'd take Brendan Rodgers. Hughes is going nowhere.

Man alive, people are quick to jump on the festering under-current against Hughes. Brendon Rodgers would get slaughtered if we conceded a fucking corner.

People are just discussing managers if he left. Which on a thread about Hughes potentially leaving seems perfectly reasonable. No one in the last few posts has questioned Hughes. Calm the paranoia down!

Would the Evertonians be too thrilled about Hughes' appointment ? I don't think they would and I don't buy the story anyway. Hughes is building a squad and I think he , Coates and us are happy with the way it is going. Some of us anyway.

Moyes was at the ground on the evening of the Spurs game when he was being heavily linked to Villa.. Means nothing as he's probably just keeping his hand in but if a vacancy did appear should say he'd feature prominently in the running even though I'd have my doubts.
Would Moyes be considered for the Everton job himself? He did well there, was liked & at least quit for what was then a job offer he couldn't turn down.

Moyes has been at loads of our games this year, going back to the West Ham away game.

I would hope for moyes .....would love Benitez but, looking like he'll be wearing black and white for the forseeable ...if Hughes shows the slightest of interest in Everton, I'd make it as easy as possible for him. If he thinks Everton is the right move before he's finished the job here, he obviously thinks he can go no further with his players because that's a slight side step in my opinion.

Anyone that thinks Hughes will leave stoke for everton needs sectioning. Why? They are a huge club with money behind them (now) and he's played for them, and they are reasonably local to him in Cheshire. It is a logical next step for him. With money and a couple of years he could get them in and around the Top 4 easily. What happened at Man Citeh must have hurt deep down and he must be itching to get back to that level to set the record straight. Interesting summer ahead.

Where's "Mark and his team " - Kamara he would obviously know .
For me it's the perfect test for Hughes , signed a new deal last year , Supported for £35 since then which hasn't quite worked yet ., Career in tatters when he came .
Does he cut and run at the first sign of flattery or does he show real belief in those that supported him , backed him and as importantly those he bought here as part of the project .

I'll tell you why it won't happen:
Coated won't let it Hughes has always said how grateful he is for the coates family for giving him the chance back in the game after qpr Why would he leave to go to a club who's new investor is one of the least wealthy in the league
Will that do?

Laudrup, Moyes or Rodgers would do me if he did. Low scoring team, shite defence, unbalanced squad, shit at set pieces at both ends, he's good but he's not irreplacable If he went tomorrow Coates would go for Moyes, no question. Yes another guy that needs a bit career rebuilding in a similar way to Hughes when he came here.

Yeah. If were going to win fuck all lets do it properly. Who would you go for? Martinez won something once... Eddie Howe. Knows a thing or two about forward momentum at least. All Moyes has of note on his CV is taking over a sleeping giant for 8 seasons and keeping them firmly asleep. Edit: 11 seasons
