Well all good news I suppose and Sky were never going to be happy with naming it "The Bitch 365" were they^.
So will we call it the "Betsy" or stick with the "Brit"

How can so many wenches all be on the clot at the same time? Calm the fuck down girls! Its just a name that brings us in more cash, if I were to invest a few million in the naming rights to a stadium I sure wouldn't want it to be called anything other than the company which I was splashing the cash from!

Couldn't give a frig what they call the stadium, it will always be The Brit and I will sit in the same old seat which wont have changed with the same old view which WILL change when they fill the corner.
This will bring another revenue into the club (be it that it will be disguised payments to the club in the form of sponsorship from Coates)
It's a positive, quit your bitch whining!

From Bet365's point of view keeping Britannia as part of the name is nonsensical as it will mean that commentators etc will essentially carry on calling it the Britannia and not saying the words bet365 every time they mention the ground. There's no value in it for Bet365 unless the name is mentioned.
Reckon it'll take me about 3 decades to stop calling it the Brit though, I was sat in the Sentinel stand up until last season and this season I'm in the West Stand.

Any chance we might move the away fans into the new corner instead of giving them the prime, influential seats, right next to the tunnel? I honestly think I'd rather the opposition fans there.

Because Britannia Stadium isn't corporate at all? Of course it is, but in your hurry to appear witty and clever you've missed the point haven't you; corporate it might be, but it had other patriotic and historical qualities that bet365 Stadium just doesn't. And it could be shortened like we did at the Victoria Ground, can't see "Just off down bet duck" catching on can you?
Oh, and it should be a ground, not a stadium or an arena! It's just a name. You're looking far too much into this. Our ground will always be known to the fans as 'The Brit'. Nobody in Newcastle calls St James park the Sports Direct Arena do they? Surely it's what the fans call the ground that really matters?

The name is not ideal but not that fussed. Great news about the corner, let's hope we fill it with supporters watching European football the season after next.

Its a shocking name for a football ground. Its so cold, its chilling! The fact that people think its ok is very depressing too. Shows how low we have sunk in our thinking. Do you actually use the name though? I know I never say "I'm going to the Britannia today".

Does no-one want to take the viewpoint that it shows yet more commitment from the Coates family towards Stoke City? Surely this is another sign that they (The family, not just Peter) are in it for the long haul?
As for the actual name, who cares? Well maybe the Coates family do as it gets their company even more exposure, thus earning them more money... If only they had something they could spend that money on, maybe they should buy a footba... Oh.
The bet365 Stadium, like the Britannia Stadium before that & the Victoria Ground before that will simply be known as 'The Ground' to the only people that matter. Who has ever rang their mate up on a Saturday morning & asked them "What time are you going down to the Britannia Stadium today?" No-one! It always has, and always shall be "What time you off down the ground?"

The long awaited news that virtually everyone demanded (corners filled) is overshadowed by the same drama Queens moaning about the name.
It was obvious that it was going to be sponsored by Bet365, so why the faux outrage?
The club can never win.

Aren't commentators legally obliged by the Premier League broadcasting contract to call it by whatever name the owner/sponsor has given it. No one liked the renaming of St James' Park but, after a few inevitable cock ups, it was called the Sports Direct Arena by commentators until the owner saw the light and changed the name back again.

Now move the away fans to the NEW CORNER. Makes sense also help generate a better atmosphere, if you have ever been in the tunnel kick off, all you can hear is away fans.

Actually I've always called it the Brit in conversation and most of the fans I speak to, call it that - at least they do when they are talking to me. Funnily enough I often used to use the word ground when talking about the Victoria Ground - but not when talking about the Brit.

Good news really especially with a corner filled in. Be good to move away fans to the new corner - always think it must be an encouragement to away teams to come out to their own supporters I'd put the away supporters in the most drafty and cold part of the ground.
