In fairness after about an hour of the Swansea game everything in the garden was looking reasonably rosy.We were sitting in 7th place in real time for gods sake .so its two and half games at best. Coates has proved he isn't that trigger happy ...or he'd have got rid of Tone around the Villa home defeat time when we were hurtling towards the bottom 3. I do agree with you that he needs a decent start this time though to stop fans turning on him. I have to say, I do think we've had a good season, but you're only as good as your last game and for several months now, pretty much since Christmas, that for us has been 'bloody awful'. Recently there have been a lot of stats extrapolating Leicester's post-Christmas results across a whole season. Would be interesting to see how we'd fair if you did the same for us. Second bottom after Villa, I suspect. If you take boxing day as post Christmas we have won 7 times. Even if you only count games this calendar year we've won 5. We'd be nowhere near 2nd bottom.

If you include games from 2nd Jan onwards we are 14th, ten points better than 2nd bottom (Palace).

I get the impression some can't see beyond the hammerings we've taken and actually forget we've won some games as well .
