It would be a sideways move to be fair. Off their bench on on to ours now we have the infinitely superior Bony. I reckon he'd get played on the right wing. Yep. Or at times, in front of Bony, with Bony in the hole.

To be charitable you'd guess that the distraction of the takeover business has led them to mismanage the situation but I'd be very surprised if they think SB gives them £20m worth of performance this season. Maybe he will, his level performance will determine the level of his next club and contract.

Club have stated all business is done - Hughes has left Clayton Woods Gone for dinner, they'll be back at 10.59 to send the fax! Bayern posted this earlier - we now have 27 players??? Bit early I know. 1) Jack Butland 2) Shay Given 3) Lee Grant 4) Glen Johnson 5) Phil Bardsley 6) Ryan Shawcross 7) Bruno Martins Indi 8) Marc Muniesa 9) Geoff Cameron 10) Erik Pieters 11) Glenn Whelan 12) Giannelli Imbula 13) Joe Allen 14) Charlie Adam 15) Xherdan Shaqiri 16) Bojan Krkic 17) Marko Arnautovic 18) Wilfried Bony 19) Mame Biram Diouf 20) Jon Walters 21) Peter Crouch So that leave Ramadan who doesn't need to be named. Bachmann and Haugaard who do. Afellay and Ireland who I doubt will be in there. Joselu who looks a goner. And Tex....who cares.

That thread on WB.com is funny, the 'defenders' of Saido saying Tone is playing him out of position - he is a forward and Tone is playing him out wide (whodathunk!)
The doubters are just ripping him a new one, fat, unfit, lazy, not arsed, greedy yada yada

Now Arnie has signed a four year contract he is worth a bob or two and if the sulky one plays out of skin you never know who might come calling in January. Berahino price going down by the hour now. Perhaps a deal to be done and we swap a player who's desperate to get away for a player who was looking to get away if a big club came for him, which they didn't!! Just saying how it was and is

There's nothing we can or are prepared to do, our offer of what we think he's worth is there, if they panic before 11pm and accept, he's ours. Obviously subject to a medical. I'll be totally honest. I don't understand the situation one bit. As it stands, everyone loses. Football moves so fast these days and players can be forgotten in months. It's obvious Berahino won't be getting much game time under Pulis - he made that quite clear on Sunday. If he spends from now till January on the bench with bits and bobs there might not be many suitors even at our level who would want him. We might move on!? Stupidity all round. West Brom stand to lose out, the player will lose out in key years of his development and his agent might miss out on a top level pay day.

If this all goes tits up for WBA, you can see Tone walking. It's a right old mess there. Pulis wants the player out. He wants to go big on a couple of other playerst. It looks like the board have been standing their ground against pulis. They could be left with berahino as one of few options up front and a manager who did not get backed in the transfer window and who has no relationship with berahino. The only way wba can justify themselves is if they can get a good season out of berahino. That isn't going to happen unless they sack pulis. They are making themselves look shambolic and small time

Didn't Hughes have to sweat it out in a similar way with Diouf, waiting until he was a free agent?

All this time people have been talking about West Brom playing games and yet the only window they've really fucked up appears to be their own.
Sheer poetry.

The Bony signing was clever in a number of ways. It took the pressure off the Berahino deal and put the ball solely into their court.

Right so to clear a few things up...... Come tomorrow morning, West Brom will have missed out on £20m for a player who can leave for free in the near future, looks like he'd rather be anywhere else in the world than there, and the manager and the fan base don't want?
I bet the new owners are delighted they kept Jeremy Peace on to give his expert advice

I imagine the competition for him when he is available for free will be massive, and we will really struggle to interest him.
Personally, I'm absolutely gutted.
