Imbulas defensive side of the game is not his best point, hence why he didn't succeed at Marseille as they had him holding midfield. Whelan was injured today and he usually helps out imbula more, but too call him out is a disgrace. We knew when he signed what kind of player he was so don't question him. I really REALLY do hate stoke fans at times. Bring back delap and diao, or maybe Amdy Faye? I would have Rory back in the blink of an eye. HAHAHAHA

I really REALLY do hate stoke fans at times. Bring back delap and diao, or maybe Amdy Faye? Dear me, no one is suggesting this are they? Imbula was poor today. This doesn't immediately mean he's now a lost cause and should be carted off immediately, just that he clearly has things to work on. You either didn't watch today's game or read my post or any others properly. For £18 million though I'd expect a central midfielder to offer a bit more defensive competence...which I hope and believe will come in time. I read Imbula had never done any strength work in the gym before signing for Stoke. I think this showed today.

I thought he was awful today and probably our worse player. Seemed to have no clue what to do with the ball when he had it, played some very poor passes, got caught in possession and just didn't get his head round the defensive duties required of him. That said, he has looked good to very good in previous few matches, so I'll give him that one today but my expectations of him are certainly a lot more than he delivered (or didn't) today. Onwards and upwards. Hopefully he'll use the Liverpool game to show us the real Imbula.

He did nothing today. A real indifferent performance by someone who can do so much. Not slating him, just saying.

Let's write off another player after a handful of games eh lads? One which has already shown himself to be a fine player and contributed greatly in a few wins. Still, there's nothing a Stoke fan likes more than being able to stick the boot into an new player, especially one who has signed for big money.
We'll see the best of Gianelli next season.

I would have Rory back in the blink of an eye. HAHAHAHA Not only was he superior in every single aspect of the game when the opposition have the ball to Imbula, he also chipped in with more goals and assists than Imbula will ever do.

A passenger from start to finish today. How he wasn't subbed off I do not know. Not great by his standards, to say he was a passenger from start to finish is nonsense though He did nothing. He was beyond lazy. Most of his passes were hospital balls. And he just sauntered around. I was really disappointed with him to the point I wanted him hooked at half time. How he wasn't subbed I do not know.

I repeat he was poor by his standards but again you completely over exaggerate things....,

Though you'd probably still have something to whine about. Probably because Affelay and Wollscheid would still be in the team.

I rate him, a lot ,but we can all agree. he had a crap game today . Nothing wrong in saying that.

£18m for a player who does everything half decent and nothing brilliantly. They didn't half see us coming....maybe he'll be better next season once he's settled and knows the PL more.
I for one am happy to give him the time to show, but based on what I've seen so far, he's our biggest flop since Kitson.
