I'd like Gary Mellor to work his magic and get Jay Rodriguez down Stoke. If he could stay fit, he is a very decent striker. Still 26, and English too so good for the homegrown quota.

Possibly a bit out of our league but would be an incredible signing. His agent is Shaqiri's brother though. 19 years old? Wow. While a highlights reel is no indication of actual ability, this lad seems to have a ton of skill and also the drive and determination we need. Get him in. Did the opening piece say he's valued at 6 million?

Bony for me . Proven in the prem, no settling in season required one would think.... How old is he? I wonder on the price too? Going £20milliion plus on a European player (batshuyi) I think is abit to much of a gamble for clubs like Stoke .. When surely bony will be available at a lower price

We won't have a problem affording strikers like Bony etc. The problem comes with their wages

Our manager played for three of the biggest teams in the world as a forward so you would think he could spot a good one,is track record at Stoke is not very good yet.Arnie 7/10 Shaqri 3/10 Diouf 3/10 and Jos 2/10.

How long before some company offers some star a zillion dollars to change their name to something in the vein of "ILOVE COCACOLA" Logically it can't be far off. Fifty years ago it would have been absolutely beyond belief that Arsenal would play at the Emirates (Where were you, where were you, where were you at ....... the emirates?) or Man City at the Etihad (sorry, what did you say?) and our own beloved Bet365 Stadium? Hmmmm, I think I will give my friends at Apple a call ...... Arnie Apple has a certain ring about it don't you think?

One of my remaining dreams for Stoke is for us to get in a "Wunder Kind" and have him ply his trade for his entire career at Stoke. I'd even trade an FA Cup final appearance for this (But not a win!!!)

We won't pay that much for either - we will spend 15-20m on a player in his early to mid-20s who has already shown he can handle top level football. Our issue will not be the transfer fee but the wages, as we will not want our top earner's salary to rise too much more than at present. If a new player comes in at 100k a week, four or five others will form a queue at Hughes' door demanding parity.

Benteke would be a good signing for any manager with common sense who would play to his strengths. Even better for the right price so his wage is supplemented, LFC & Klopp must want him off the wage bill
