Sounds like Ryan is out against Chelski now from what was just said, really starting to fear this one with the amount of time out of the team, the clubs most consistent player and team captain may need to be replaced but where would you start, cant think of another CH that can come in and give us what he gives, Scott Dan is a northern lad and seems to play well at the back, would he be tempted to come to the potters, we need another Huth type signing from a relegated club maybe that will walk straight in to the team.
Cant see RS making many apperances this season, fingers crossed he comes back strong next year

Would anyone be suprised if this injury ended his career?? Does seem to keep dragging on Jesus it's obviously very unlikely that this specific instance of the injury is going to end shawcross's career, and i don't know exactly what rambo meant, but you'd have to say that if it keeps happening it is probably going to be the thing that eventually does him in... but obviously that could well be in quite a few seasons time.

Every man and his dog knew we needed to sign a defender and there's no dressing that up.

was hoping that his back surgery would sort this problem out

Very frustrating especially as he's been "very, very close for 4 weeks now."
I guess Chelsea probably isn't the best game to be thrown into but with Bardsley out we could really be in for a hiding if we lose anyone during the game. The thought of Johnny Tex marking Costa terrifies me.
Without doubt we need a new CB in the summer as Ryan really seems to be struggling with this current injury.

Give him the time he needs. We have conceded 2 goals in the last three league games and are pretty safe. I wouldn't rush him back at all.

I'm hoping it's a case of, he's 80% fit but we're not risking it until he's 100% so we'll give him an extra week.

If we had managed to keep Ryan fit for every game I am convinced we would be at least 10 points better off.

Bollocks. Could have an issue at RB. Think Ryan will be back soon. Hughes said in his presser yesterday that he was 'very very close'. No issue....we've still got Wilko.... Oh, wait a min!!!

Enough traction force through the spine the muscles will go into involuntary spasm as a protective mechanism.

Last week AV were one of the worst teams I have seen for some time. However one player stood out. Lescot . A very solid centre back performance.
With the Villa going down he could be a very good defensive addition to the squad.
Age and wages may be a problem . ???

Enough traction force through the spine the muscles will go into involuntary spasm as a protective mechanism. I know bugger all about the situation, and you have to take everyone at their word. However you don't hear of many muscle injuries to the back (do you?), and it's one hell of a coincidence that Ryan collects one a few weeks after he returns from back surgery. Perhaps not the same injury, true, but it really is hard to believe that the two injuries are not linked in some way. Hopefully it's a one off though, the muscles will strengthen and the old injury has been resolved for good.

Ryan. Wooly. Muni. Wilson. Geoff.
We have enough CB's we would need to get rid of some in the summer before bringing in any replacements, Wilson and unfortunately Muni would have to make way before we sign anyone else.

He's in Germany seeing a specialist but should certainly be back for the Southampton game according to Sparky at the press conference
