what fucking decade are you in????? by being a "mercenary" i presume you mean "Being a professional footballer who won't just take the first offer given to him by the club"? EVERY single player at Stoke will negotiate when it comes to contract extensions (including the likes of Butland..who did just that before extending, Ryan, Bojan, Whelan etc. etc.) jesus, after your utter bollocks about wanting Hughes gone but keep him for another year i'd have thought you'd have learned to at least think a little before posting such shite Why would we want keep a player that's causing a rift in the dressing room, clearly he's leaving anyway.. SterlingV2 our Arnie is... Greed no loyalty What evidence is there that he's causing a "rift in the dressing room"? Please tell. "Clearly he's leaving anyway" - why? Because his agent is negotiating? Bego and Nzonzi didn't bother negotiating, so that's a bit presumptuous isn't it?

Why would we want keep a player that's causing a rift in the dressing room, clearly he's leaving anyway.. SterlingV2 our Arnie is... Greed no loyalty and name me ONE single player that doesn't ask for more money when re-negotiating their contract in the 21st century??? i can help you there mate....you can't because there aren't any! do you know what "negotiate" actually means? if it wasn't a back and forth exercise then it wouldn't be called "Contract negotiations" Loyalty to a club died out in about 1990. i can guarantee you now that if Ryan wasn't offered what he thought he was worth and was offered what he wanted elsewhere he'd be off in a shot, no-one is any different regardless of what red and white tinted specs you have on or how much of a saint you want to claim they are that "Loves the club"!!!! the facts are that he's a winger who is our top scorer and has equalled the Prem goals record in1 season for Stoke since we came up with half as many assists on top of that....from the WING!!!! if that doesn't deserve a pay rise then what the fuck does he have to do to get one???? Some people are worth going back and forth with, in the hope you can offer them a different view or give them some education, Nath just seems to as thick as pig shit, and I am not sure he is even worth the effort of replying to.

I don't think this is a matter of simply money.
I'm sure Arni and his brother have ambitions to play on one of the great soccer arenas on a weekly basis and hold up European cups. He has a golden opportunity during the summer to present himself on the world stage.
If nothing comes of it then he may sign a new contract with Stoke or opt to go to the likes of Sevilla. He doesn't have to rush into anything.

He doesn't have to rush into anything. He will need one hell of a tournament to get a move to a top Champions League club. Baring that, with the extra Sky money from next season, I really can't see many much better options for him. In this country: the likes of Man city/utd, Chelsea, Arsenal aren't going to be interested I'd think. Spurs? Liverpool? Doubt it? West Ham? Possibly. Then, everyone else is about the same size, smaller, or not a better option (Newcastle, Villa , Everton). I couldn't see Arnie's ego allowing him to go to the States or China just yet. There aren't that many clubs on the continent - excluding the really big boys (Barca, real, Athletico, PSG, Bayern, etc.) who will be in the market for a £60-80k winger will there?

Eric signed his extension and look at him now, terrible player. So based on that logic, Arnie will be even worse if/when he signs a new contract. God help us. Yes based on the bullshit logic you're coming out with.

We've lost a few games and lost all capability to defend and yet it's Arnie's fault for not signing a new contract.. Yeah, The Oatcake at it's incredibly moronic and predictable best. Bravo guys, you clearly know everything about football and I'll now burn my Arnautovic shirt because he's obviously an utter scumbag...

All we can expect from our great players is to give 100% while they play for us . Players have always put themselves 1st and left us for better things , going back to Neil Franklin

Really hope Arnie signs a new contract for us! Despite being a bit up and down I feel he is our only player with pace and strength enough to really challenge the oposition we meet. Bojan is a good player with some magic, but he isn't fast and he isn't strong. I also feel Shaq lacks pace to really trouble most defenders. In addition both Bojan and Shaq seem to lack enough endurance to play for 90 minutes. Up front we could play Joselu who really has got both skills and some strength, but maybe lacks a bit of pace. Diouf got the pace, but not the skills unfortunately. This is my impression at least!

You have to laugh
Arnie trying to re negotiate and hasn't signed yet=greedy mercenary bastard..fuck him off.
Walters saying if he can't have what he wants he is fucking off elsewhere =for fucks sake give him what he wants and get him signed up !
For the record I'm a big fan of Jon and I'm glad it got sorted.

Yeah good riddance to the player who has scored over 25% of our league goals this season, bastard! i wouldn't worry bayern, this is where he'll say "I want Arnie to go right now because he's disruptive but stay next season" and then he'll just continue to bamboozle everyone's fucking brain with his bizarre, other worldly logic like he did in the last thread.

Want him to sign and stay. Personal opinion. Scenario he goes. We line someone else up to fill the gap. If his demands outstrip what MH thinks he's actually worth to us we say cheerio Arnie and move forward. If we land a replacement that can score 20 plus a season, we're quids in for similar money. As I said I'd rather he stayed but can we just sit and wait for HIM to decide and tow us along while HE thinks about his future. Our club comes first.

The great local team of my youth stayed together not just because of loyalty but also because we were good and winning. Till it got windy one night...

What's up honey? What's up? Hard dicks and airplanes... Now then, you still haven't blessed us with your inside information, coming from deep within the dressing room at SCFC, where Arnie is... according to you, causing a rift. Do tell.

Any clubs who watched his performance vs Spurs will be reducing their offer anyway.

Any clubs who watched his performance vs Spurs will be reducing their offer anyway. Arne isn't consistent enough to play at a significantly higher level than us . He may earn more money at a Newcastle , Everton or West Ham . He's found his level

Any clubs who watched his performance vs Spurs will be reducing their offer anyway. Anyone watching his game against Man City earlier in the season will increase it. Funny game, football.

Our goal scoring problems aren't going to improve unless we start to create more chances and the defence starts to chip in with a few. For all his flaws I'm puzzled why Diouf hasn't been given a run.We just seem to create more when he is playing. He has the pace and strength to pull defences around which seems to create space for others.
