Ok we did the long range ones
What about headers? Loopers, diving, bullet, corners - all welcome here!
cant find a better vid than this but Crouch's one against Castle exactly a year ago is a good start
This is probably though my all time fav though - Ian Cranson's winner against the Baggies back in 1992, great bullet header, great player and the winning goal in one of my fav games ever. About 3 mins & 47 secs in. Worth watching the whole thing though

Akinbiyi vs Reading. Not for the quality of the header but for the relief of the occasion and the mental that followed!

Probably Kenwyne. Non Stoke player would have to be Drogba vs Munich in the champions league.

Huddy used to almost skate over the top of a muddy ground! At times quite surreal....what a player he was!

Gareth Evans at Burnden Park. At the time it seemed like he was on the edge of the box but probably wasn't. Fair mental in the pouring rain.

BT at home to Man City is the most significant goal in my time watching SCFC.
However, the greatest headed goal was Mama's wonder goal against Villa in our first Prem victory.
The second most skilful was Mama's awesome header vs West Brom in our first season in the Prem.
Third in terms of skill and second in importance was Mama's superhuman leap and header vs Bristol City as we won promotion.
The greatest header in our club's history was Mama's header to Tuncay away at Burnley. Somehow Mama held off the entire Burnley team including the keeper to perfectly set up Tuncay for a sitter. There has been no better pass in the entire history of world football. No other human being has ever been capable of doing something similar. We were so blessed to have such a talented player in our team as we gained promotion and established ourselves in the Prem.

Always have a great image of Ray wallace flying through the air to power in a diving header away at Wrexham ,Brian little season.seem to remember thorny scoring plenty of excellent headers, one at Bristol rovers away when he scored 3 stands out.cross was well behind him but he managed to power it in to the top corner.

It has to be John Ritchie's third goal against Southampton in the 1973/1974 season. There was talk of us signing Huddy's old mate Peter Osgood to replace Ritchie who was coming to the end of his career. Osgood turned us down and shortly after we played Osgood and Southampton at Stoke. Ritchie had a point to prove and after scoring two goals he scored his third goal in front of the Boothen when the ball was played past their keeper, with no-one anywhere near it, and rather than tapping it in he got down on his hands and knees and, with a big grin on his face, headed it over the line . Not the best header but certainly the funniest and most memorable.

Peter Thorne at Bristol Rovers.
Crap cross in that was behind him, he arched his neck backwards and got it into the top corner.
Think he got a hattrick that day!?
