I think a midfield trio of Nzonzi,Imbula and Bojan would be sensational
Whelan, Afellay and Ireland as back up.
Quality quality quality

Isn't that why he wasn't a success in Porto as they wanted him to play as DM? Bojan can't defend for toffee. Nzonzi couldn't play the holding role. Tried a few times but not disciplined enough to shield the defense. It would be a great midfield but I suspect the defense would have one hell of a busy day!

This "consistency" bollocks really grinds my gears.
Only 1 team has been consistent this year and they are leading the Premier League. Generally no other teams demonstrate consistency, thats why they aren't top... I actually would prefer a season like we have had where we have won a couple, lost 1 or 2, won 2 or 3 etc etc, than win/draw 6 or 7 and then lose 5-6 in a row.
As far as N'Zonzi goes, we need to compare the team of 2012 to 2016. N'Zonzi stood out as a very important player for us and was probably the most inspirational performer during the transition. But, he was not the unplayable player that he is being made out to be by some here. I said years ago he will never be sold for any more than £7-8m as his attitude pulls his undoubted ability right back down to earth.
Quite simply, he wouldn't be a stand out player in this current team. Imbula is starting to do that and proves how much of an upgrade he has and will be.
To put it bluntly, Steven N'Zonzi was an inconsistent midfielder for a mid-table Premier League club. On his day, he was fantastic, when he had a tantrum he was a waste. Unfortunately, he wont fulfil his potential because he has far too many of the latter. At Sevilla, if he hasn't pushed above his weight already, he has probably hit the upper echolons of what his ability allows.
Time to move on, he was important during his time here, he has and we have all now moved on to better things.
