I am seriously considering flushing this fanzine site down the toilet. It might help if the ages of posters were visible so we could perhaps make allowance for the silly comments.
I'm beginning to think I keep seeing Robert Huth and Ryan Shawcross fly through the air in Supermen suits. The reality is that they were great gladiators in Stoke's early formative years but when they are absent we raise them to be ex halted as Gods. Ridiculous!
Huth has done well at Leicester, ridiculously well but is not better than Shawcross and Wollshied. The truth is that Mark Hughes priority is to seriously consider how he going to improve the whole back four in our team.
Stoke have the best quality players they have ever had in their history. It will take some time for them to reach a level that consistently represents their quality. It is disappointing when we play poorly but try and be a bit more patient with the lads. Trust in your manager and coaches because overall it has been a great time so far. I believe Europe is not too far away
especially if we get behind our team.

TBH you can generally guess the age by the retardiness of the comment.
Any wrist slashing at the first sign of a disappointing performances generally means they are under 20.
Likewise anyone who was thinking we could get into Europa (or even CL) at end of December was also under 20.
A great season for us looks like a 7-9 place finish and a decent cup run, which we have already had.
Gradual improvement next year when we might be on fringes of Europa league place would be good.
BTW - comparisons with Leicester are silly, their season is mental beyond belief and I really hope they win it, us like lots of others (southampton, Everton, Newcastle, West Ham etc) will all be thinking if they can do it, why not us. While the traditional big clubs, including Liverpool and Spurs will see this season as a big missed opportunity if Leicester do win it

Oh yeah, I'm 36. Huth was quality but Hughes preferred Wolly and this Season W has justified that. Huth didn't want to stay and sit on the bench - fair play to him, much better than players who just sit out their contract with no interest in actually playing

I do not have to be reminded of the quality of some of the players that have graced our red and white shirts. The 1972 squad were superb to watch. I was in Amsterdam to watch a Stoke team play some superb football but never in our history have we had twenty plus players in a squad where we have so many international players. |

Loads of internationals but very little passion makes for a poor team, on paper we look good in reality we look disjointed lethargic and disinterested, you should know that football is not played on paper, we left little on that pitch today because we took nothing on to it, our defence is a complete and utter shambles without Ryan are pathetic at the back. |
