I can't think of an instance when I bood stoke off the pitch, but someone said a round of applause for encouragement, not if some of the players haven't put 100% effort in. Leaving the ground by turning your back and walking away without a clap is one thing, booing the team that you support is another. Would love to see some of these people watching their kids play lads & dads football on the park pitches....especially if the lads are getting tonked 10-0 as does happen. Scenario 1 - Booooooooo, boooooooooooo, booooooooooooo, get off you useless bastards, you'er not fit to wear that fucking Hanley spitfires shirt, ten fucking nil, call that a fucking performance boooooooooo, you spinless bastards. Scenario 2 - Oh bloody hell mate, pick your chin up son, it happens mate, next week you are playing top of the league Hamil road shit shifters I bet you will go out and get a decent result against them, look at it another way chap you can only get better and you learnt a lot from that...that number 9 will be playing professionally one day so dont think you were being skinned by any old toe rag he was special mate, you cant win every game and you are not losing every game the seasons been ok so far.....onwards and upwards Scenario 1 definitely sounds more character building

Another leaving early thread, just fuck off. The fans deserve better than that wank. MH out Hughes out? OK, who's coming in then? ............thinks thinks ......errr .........errrr got it! ...........someone inspiring ........my smelly dishcloth is more inspiring and has twice the charisma, in my opinion he's been lucky with the big results 'cos those players are raising their game for the big game clashes, with notable exceptions Shawcross etc

Can't be arsed to read all this thread put personally I always boo fairweather fans.
But I have never booed any Stoke City team or individual player. I showed my displeasure yesterday by not clapping the useless feckers off, apart from Butland who had a good second half. Although quite how the players could distinguish between who I was and wasn't clapping fuck alone knows, but I knew.

I'm with that idea of waiting, we won't go down, but we won't finish above 10th the way we are going. Let's aim for at least 13th then we can evaluate the situation. Come June, sack him and bring in someone else We won't sack Hughes even if we finish 17th .........unless of course there's a downturn in season ticket sales, then Mr Hughes feet won't touch the ground

Its called supporting a football team and its about human beings who cant be absolutely brilliant every single week for an entire season. As for those trying to justify such complete and utter ignorance,(booing that is.) you are to a man, beneath contempt in my eyes.Nothing more to be said

The people leaving at half time are all wankers. I was one of them by the way my son and I are bigger wankers than you mate we fucked off on 38 mins......piss wet, freezing cold watching Mr Wonderful's shite footy, wank tactics, wank team selection I could go on ...........of course, nearly dying of exposure in the latest squall in row 6 of the boothen end had quite a bit to do with the decision to go home and light my roaring fire and pour me a very large whiskey.Nobody tells us when to leave under any circumstances 86 mins being the norm to avoid the North car park barrier of doom.........not to mention the cretins who think roads are paths .............i'm too old for that kind of discomfort

Booing the team and leaving early Shallow or what?...get a grip!!! Every team has bad games...the last thing needed is shallow support ...especially with a new brilliant player on board if i'd have stayed i'd have booed the rain

It's embarrassing listening to some of the numpties who watch us. Mr wonderful, despite all our injuries seemed to get it right today. I reckon you might have stayed until 80 if you'd have come today.

Yellow fang you really are a numpty. Had you stayed for a bit longer last week, or got off your arse today and made it to Bournemouth you'd see £18m of talent who could be worth every penny.
Wasting money, palacios anyone!?

I thought the team put a shift in to be honest. To no effect, all huff and puff but didn't see them not trying.
Must admit though, did consider leaving at half time. So wet, so cold, might have been part of the problem for the boys?
Anyway, rare to not have someone to clap. So how do you direct a boo at someone you feel really deserves it? Or might it be best to jog on?

In my opinion if you pay your money you have the right to vent your frustration which ever way you choose, boo , leave early or shout as long as it's with in the law. I don't boo but haven't got a problem with them who choose to.

As I said earlier - its beneath contempt in my eyes
and even worse is:- trying to even justify it ??
it very much depends upon how you were taught morals, ethics and concepts of sportsmanship or perhaps,
put more simply, how you were '* brought up' (or, '*dragged up')
- ** delete as appropriate ---- really
and very possibly - rule NUMBER ONE for being the supporter of any kind of team in any kind of sport
Never boo your own team

I never boo my own team. However, let's have a little perspective here. We have had two spells, one at the beginning of the season and just now when we were pitiful. During those spells we were dreadful and fans have every right to complain. Hughes got the line up wrong and made some bizarre substitutions (anyone happy when Odemwingie came on? And for me Crouch didn't do much much). Let's hope it's out of the way. Unfortunately, I am more than a little concerned that we still don't have a plan against teams that sit back and give us the ball. Hopefully Ibula will give us drive and we cut out the slow build and sideways/backwards passing.
