Cider for me. As a teenager in Wiltshire in the mid 69's I used to like rough cider at 11 d a pint ( that's just under 5 p ).

Vimto
Strongest thing I'm allowed now.
Used to drink Strongbow when I was at school it seemed to fit with the rugby crowd I moved in, then I moved to Mild when it was still on tap after that I went Newcy Brown only way to guarantee a quality pint.

For me personally, Cider. What you talking about, it's not even zider season, way too cold. Get back on the ale till the sun comes out, then get on the Thatchers

There are some good beers, there are some bad beers. There are some good ciders, there are some bad ciders. In answer to your question.. Rum.

For me personally, Cider. Why not have both with a good old fashioned snake bite. A few of them and you can't remember what you are drinking anyway. Although I prefer a light and bitter myself.

Tis my preferred choice of beverage and strictly no black current! Do like the real ale and craft beers though and Bluemoon is becoming more popular which is good for me.

I was a confirmed lager drinker until I joined up and discovered that drinking light and bitter got you more beer 'cos they overfilled the pint glass in the NAAFI and gave you the bottle :) Drank gallons of snakebite with and without black in past years, strangely some pubs refused to serve it, struggled to work out why personally, they'd happily serve you with half a dozen large whiskies if you asked.

I've always preferred light and bitter for the same reason, although a lot of pubs don't sell light ale anymore. At one time I drank light and lime, which Sounds disgusting now. I've never really taken to lager, but will drink it at a push and like most people have obviously had it in snake bite. I think the snake bite ban came about from the strength of some lagers and ciders at the time, but you're right it doesn't really make sense when they would serve you rum or Pernod all night.

Strangely I drink more bitter than lager nowadays, I did have a few years drinking Guiness but then started on Real Ales, I drink very seldomly tho, mainly just before the football. Certain Real Ales seem to have the effect of disconnecting my brain from my mouth and I lose the ability to form words properly whilst feeling perfectly sober, very strange.

At beer festivals with plastic pint pots, I drink in halves for the same reason. They always overfill. :-)

Sounds like most Friday night for me, although my wife would say I talk gibberish most of the time.

If I'm having a drink in the house I always have cider-but when out in the pub I have real ale.I think is because cider is so cheap from Bargain Booze.

I drank brown and bitter (Bass& Manns ) for the same reason . Always got over a half plus the bottle of brown on the side

Nothing more refreshing than a pint of cheddar valley on a hot summers day. Beer through the rest of the year for me though.
