Normally beer, but sometimes cider just hits the spot - usually in pubs that don't have any decent beer (and, sorry, but I don't regard Carling or Fosters as decent beer). Tonight I picked up four cans of Stella Artois Cidre on offer from the Co Op. Going down very nicely, and that's the problem with cider: it's not as gassy and tastes like pop, so you drink it too fast and too much. Still, it's Friday night and it anaesthetises me while I sit through t'women's Corrie fix.

A word of warning. Cider sends you doolally over a period of time. Take it easy and don't get hooked!

It's got to be a decent Porter. Black as Cobridge and as bitter as their prozzies!

Im very much a lager man, but every now ans then I get sick if it and switch
Like the odd flavoured cider - personal preference for Bulmers black cherry - but if honest all these fancy dan ciders cant be beaten by an ice cold Strongbow, or better some scrumpy from a farm (in some sort of recycled large detergent bottle!)
Never been a fan of bitter or real ales, or Guinness etc!
My dad once forced a bottle of Newcy Brown on me, was minging!

Bitter or ale for me. Cider and lager give me chronic acid reflux.
A good pint of pedigree or doom bar hits the spot. And if I can find it Everards equinox.

Cant split the two, love a glass of Normandy cider but a bottle or two of Grimbergen is equally spiffing.
