I am a Stoke fan because my Dad took me as a youngster. However my best mate was and still is a Vale fan. So as it happens as youngsters we would go up the Vale together and he would come and watch Stoke alternate weeks. That's how it was and we still have good banter over our allegiances.

My dad came from a big family of vale fans but a bloke who lived 3 doors down the road took him to see Stan Mathews at the via and he supported Stoke from then on Thank god when my dad passed away he was the first person to be buried in a Stoke City coffin and his funeral was covered by the Sentinel. God bless you dad and thank you for making sure that we support the best team in the world xx

I would have been a Sunderland fan, my birthplace. If not Sunderland then it would be Sheffield Wednesday, my Grandad's team. In hindsight I think I made the right choice. Go on Stoke....

Born in NZ, father from Trentvale. I went to the Vic ground as a 12 year old and that was that. Got an Uncle that lives in Poolfields and he is a VAle follower and I have been with him when Stoke have not been playing just to help with his safety. Not been that other place for 20 years now as he is 95 now. Pleased that we are in the prem and mid table is ok just get those corners filled in.

I was given a Stoke kit at Christmas, at about 6 or 7. That did it for me. Yes I have lived my whole life in Meir. Fuck Vale.

My Nan and Granddad lived on coalville, sadly passed away many years ago. Used to love going there, playing over the fields and in my Granddads old cars in his back yard. I know it has nowt to do with footy, but thought I'd share it.
