He walks with limp.
The most disgusting, vile, inappropriate song I have ever heard sung at Stoke.
I know the history, I know he has refused to accept an apology, but this was completely unnecessary, in my opinion.
Nothing wrong in booing him, but this was just gutter level.
Rant over.

How is it disgusting? It's not like he died.
He hurt his leg, for goodness' sake, then it got better and now he's paid more in a year then most of our supporters put together to get over it. Even then he still moans like a Jessie about it in the press.

Ramsey is an utter twat for not accepting Ryan's apology and they are the ones who keep bringing it up and won't let go.
He deserves all the abuse he gets along with with his calcium deficient team mates.
I've heard a lot worse than this chant.

Pathetic chant and I was only commenting how good the Arsenal fans were applauding the nurse in the Boothen End, embarrassing.

We'll get slaughtered for that chant and 5 live had great pleasure in asking Wenger about it after. I've not heard Wenger's interview, but a chant like that is always going to hand the moral high ground back to him. Not sure what the point of the chant was other than to make us look ignorant.

And you wonder why they keep talking about that leg break, half our fans fucking make the incident 10x worse than it was by singing songs about it. Ignorant people.

We sign songs about Adam Johnson being a pedo, Gerrards baby not being his, and Robihno being a rapist, but god forbid we sing about a broken leg

The problem I have with it is that it reinforces some of the stereotypes about us that we all get very defensive about. We whine when other sets of fans call us thugs, knuckle draggers etc and then sing something that makes us sound like we're glad somebody suffered a broken leg. Just plain stupid in my opinion.

Let's get one thing straight.
Ramsey got chants sung about him today because when he came across to take a corner and was being booed, like every other opposition player that takes a corner, Ramsey decided he was going to cynically clap the crowd.
This was nothing to do with what happened 6 years ago. Perhaps he, wenger and the press should stop being so precious and Ramsey should stop thinking the fixture is about him.
Once he's done this, I'm afraid he's fair game. Everyone else gets song sung about them. Ramsey does that and he's no different than anyone else. I don't remember the big fuss when ethers was injured pre Wembley and Wolves? fans sung "You're not going to Wembley". Nobody seemed to fussed then.
Furthermore, the hatred of Arsenal started with the comments Wenger made about Stoke City football club and the players BEFOFE the Ramsey incident. This merely compounded the hatred and Wengers comments after the incident and Ramsey's refusal to accept an apology merely made things worse.
Just to put things right.
I hope the media reports the Arsenal fans boos of Shawcross before the game in the same way given if was an accident

Anybody would think he is the only professional footballer to ever break a leg playing the game!
It is a chant at a football match FFS lighten up!
I suggest you book tickets for the opera or CBeebies if you don't like terrace humour.

Even then he still moans like a Jessie about it in the press. Ramsey's injury was a career threatening injury. At that time, he had no way of knowing whether he would ever play again, let alone at the top level. If that had happened to me, I wouldn't have accepted an apology either.

Unfortunately I think it does make us look terrible as the press never focus on the real reason we can't stand Ramsey. I can see it from both sides though, since I myself had a nasty leg break in September and since (unlike Ramsey who is clearly fine) I do walk with a limp, causing my friends and family to regularly refer to me as hop a long, cripple, limpy and the like. Does this upset me? Of course not. Shit happens in life and if you don't laugh, you'd cry, Ramsey would do well to remember that, to man up and get a sense of humour and humility. Rant over

It's gallows humour and football would be poorer without it. That said I'm so utterly fucking bored with the whole Ramsey / Shawcross panto every year. It happened 6 fucking years ago. We need to let it die, we're as bad as Liverpool fans with sentiment and dwelling at times.

Thought it was a bit needless but in the white heat of a match, chants can get taken up that are a bit near the knuckle - and no-one's remotely interested in really getting to grips with the our perception of the whole thing. Most seem to think we still boo him because he "had the temerity to have his leg broken" and have no desire to probe any deeper.
As has been said, it's a shame it hands the moral high ground back to them - but take a step back and it's probably not worth getting your knickers in a twist over.
Think it's maybe a bit OTT to use world like "disgusting". He ultimately came back better than before and no-one died. Wouldn't have even merited discussion in the 80s.

The only point I would raise is the fact that all those condoning it would most likely be raging if the shoe was on the other foot.
I loathe Arsenal, but jesus christ, some people don't half give them ammunition to spout complete nonsense.
