I don't know what he's got to be depressed about. Absolutly ridiculous statement. Youre assuming that there are 'good' and 'bad' reasons to be depressed, which there aren't.

In a while mcf (the Oatcake's expert on depression) will be along and he will tell him to "pull yourself together" - that will soon sort him out.

Indeed, depression is no laughing matter and can strike anyone, anytime. He needs to stay off the sherberts because alcoholism leads to depression, not the other way around. Not necessarily.

Because mental illness and wealth, or lack of, are completely interdependent. Apparently it's clinically impossible to suffer from depression if you are a millionaire.

God this is depressing , rooneys little munchkins The only thing depressing mate is the total ignorance to a terrible condition that causes some people to take their own lives - see Gary Speed. What you've put is an embarrassment.

Battled with depression my whole life..as did my mum. Ive been sent spiraling into despair for months on end when things have been going perfect. No amount of money can pick you up when youre right down there. IF these rumours are true I wish Wayne well and hope he gets all the help needed.

Indeed, depression is no laughing matter and can strike anyone, anytime. Who's laughing? I was off work with depression myself. There are lots of people who are in far worse position than Rooney. He needs to stay off the sherberts because alcoholism leads to depression, not the other way around. So if alcohol causes[ depression how do tea total people suffer ? there are lots of people are in a far worse position than Rooney Really? Are you trying too say that material wealth, community status, stable family, support from family and probably some of the finest medical support in the country means he is better off than someone less affluent, less support then you clearly have no knowledge of clinical depression.

If it is depression then he obviously needs help. The alcoholism thing isn't news, he's had that reputation for a while and with some justification. As an alcoholic, he needs help also.
