Get well soon Banksy. Could never understand why as a pivotal member of the 66 squad he never got a Knighthood.... They didn't hand them out like they do today, to any 2 bit celebrities they were rare in sport and show business, I think only Bobby Charlton and Sir Alf got them. Even Captain Moore didn't get honoured.

Very very sad. If they can't sort the problem without a transplant, I hope that a suitable donor can be found sooner rather than later.
I remember us signing Gordon, I couldn't quite believe it when I heard the news. I thought my dad was joking when he came home from work and told me we had signed him. What a player - and how good it felt when he made THAT save from Pele and it was OUR keeper who was being talked about all over the world.

Very sad news, I pray that his treatment works and he is with us for a long time to come. A true gentle man. His autobiography "banksy" is an excellent read; a man of the people, who is genuinely loved and respected.

But i'll say 2 words as to why Banksy deserves one....Trevor Brooking.....FFS If TB got one, surely Banksy should be considered.
