Bet he's gutted living in a beautiful city, in the sun, playing pretty regularly, playing in the Champions League. Strange thread. Found it quite petulant myself. Kind of like a kid bragging about something their mate hasn't got.

Right, so it's NOT OK to question an ex-Stoke player's decision to leave us... But it IS OK to berate and slate and call players currently with us shit & sub standard every week because you don't rate them, and bring into question their commitment to Stoke City fc ?

I don't see the relevance of doing it tbh. After beating Man City, I have no idea why anyone would be giving two flying fucks about N'Zonzi! It's just weird. I never bring their commitment into question. I couldn't give a fuck about their commitment tbh!

Plus I don't see why he'd be regretting it. We're 1 position worse off than when he left.

Speaking as a staunch N'Zonzi rimmer. Bollocks to him.. he can rot on their bench for me, the faithless money chasing tit......moaned all the time he was at Stoke....always thought he was too good for us IMO.

I think one of the reasons our dressing room is better is because he's not here with his transfer requests and domestic issues, which would represent a lot of bad PR to the club too.
He was good for us, maybe not as good as a lot make out, but was very good for a time. However, we've moved on. We need destroyers in there now.

I might be the odd one out here but I'd still welcome him back with open arms and would instantly put him back in the team, yes I rate him that highly!

Qualified for the Europa League (probably their genuine aim at the start of the group), steadily moving up the table in the league, will qualify for the next round of the Copa Del Rey and playing most games now. He'll be gutted.

I don't think he would regret it at all. Just interested in himself. No allegiance to Stoke

I don't think he would regret it at all. Just interested in himself. No allegiance to Stoke I wouldn't be surprised if he puts in another transfer request in the Summer. He's a good player but nowhere near as good as he (and others on the Oatcake) think he is. Disgruntled employee = toxic employee, need to,get rid as quickly as possible - don't think Hughes much of effort to keep him. He may not have said that publically; but what's he going to say: "N'zonzi is really shit, we don't want him and we'll sell him for next to nothing". AND no one was missing him last week. Time to move on.

Players have allegiance to their careers, that's all. Fans believing players are as dedicated and committed to their team as them are deluded. Players come and go. The one's who stay don't have better options.

N'Zonzi was a class act for us but I really do think Cameron could go on to be an even greater influence on our team.. which is something I never thought I'd say, as much as I rate him. I'll throw my hat into the ring and agree with you there. The security that two holding midfielders would provide would be worth sacrificing N'Zonzi's ball-carrying ability, if it means we can keep that same front four. There's more than one way to skin a cat... If having a front four of Bojan, Shaqiri, Arnautovic, Affelay means having 2 holding midfielders to sit and break up play, I'll take it! I'm personally a big fan of Geoff and think he's done a fantastic job since he's been here. Possibly our most versatile player? Geoff can play DM, Full-back, CB, and has the versatility to even be put out wide or further up the pitch if shit hit the fan I feel! Consummate professional too!

Blimey that is very sad, I wonder whether his moody behaviour lead to this situation, post natal depression is quite common and a wife needs a very supportive husband which I suspect he wasn't I'm afraid to say.I assume they have split up now and if Nzonzi isn't seeing his child it must be affecting him.

If he played for Stoke they'd have sent him off! Sorry, couldn't resist. To be serious this, sounds like a common marital spat which escalated and probably wouldn't have reached court if proper mediation had been given a chance. Does his ex wife still live in England? Is she English? If she and the baby do still live here it is an even sadder case - for any parent to live in a different country to their young child can't be good for the parent or child.

Reading 'The Sentinel, Mrs(ex) Nzonzi's evidence didn't tally with the Polizei's so always difficult to find someone guilty in those circumstances?

There's loads on here that should be eating their words having convicted and imprisoned him based on a newspaper account of events. and of course because he left Stoke City.

Shock horror, football teams best player moves on to a bigger and better club, stop taking him leaving as a personal insult and accept it for what it is, he did well for us and wanted to move up, that's it
