Yep we are but perhaps that is a trait of Ferguson's teams. His mantra is 'we will score one more than you and will fight to the very last minute'. Now that could play into your hands should your lads have too much ball up front. The manager is maturing and still learning and if anything is far more tactically astute than when he was managing the Posh. He knows what to tweak and who to tweak it with and has got rid of a couple of players that stunk the changing room out . They partially caused the demise of Paul Dickov who apparently couldn't control the team. His additions are strong and the squad is getting stronger by the day and of course he is the son of Ferguson and knows the game both as a player and a coach not unlike Mark Hughes ( for the record one of my favourite players - I once sold him a car in Stockport too ). Nice bloke. He is likely to play a 3-4-3 line up with very fast midfielders supporting both the attack and the defence. Believe me they are fast and strong up front and currently full of confidence. We have big match players that should impress you combined with our own youngsters and Premiership loanees. Will Andy Williams be up front tomorrow mate?Last time he played against us I'm pretty sure he scored twice when Swindon knocked us out of the Cup at the Brit. Williams scoring for fun atm and yes he will be there.

Sargeant Muttley -
Coppinger still with us and has just broken the all time appearance record. He seems as fit and as clever as ever ( now 35 ) . Tyson with us and is quick, strong and yes at times a headless chicken - of course that unpredictibility pulls defenders all over the place. More than likely to be used as an impact sub. Williams Div.1 Player of the month for December a reflection of his form ; I hope it holds up tomorrow.
There are other players to fear Arun Taylor Sinclair is also beginning to score goals

Ace chance of a stream then!! Listening back to the full presser it sounds like Ireland and Bardsley could yet feature. Given and Cameron the only players "definitely out" amongst them. should be a stream ,which is grand Also being shown live over here in the States on Fox Sports 2 so would imagine plenty of streams available.

Rob Jones won't be playing as he picked up a neck injury about 12 months ago although fit. I say won't play but he might be used if Crouch is used. This manager of ours even keeps us guessing as to his intentions. Tyson always presents his own dangers to oppo defences who can't afford to go to sleep for à second. We will be playing fast flowing and accurate football . I would be much surprised if you pocketed an easy win . This team seems to have so much heart at the moment .

Even under eighteen should beat them Deary me what a stupid comment . Your manager fortunately for you will be far more astute. Too much FIFA 16 , this is the FA Cup. Hopefully last night's performance by Exeter will have taught you something Btw love him of hate him Alex Ferguson has created two very fine British managers.

Just off into town with my son for a fry-up and then catch the train, then Red Lion and hopefully Belle Vue around 1pm. Wet, murky and raw on the northern edge of Leeds, but really looking forward to this one. Come On Stoke!

Fwiw, if we play a strong enough 11 I would expect us to win, but no cup game is usually easy. Biggest problem being the risk of playing 11 players who've hardly played (at least together). Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards

I hope it's a great game and that neither side have serious injuries as our squad is wafer thin atm and I know you have a busy programme ahead too. Keep up the great football (after today of course) and good luck against the Bindippers - 1st goal wins that game and you have the players to do it. It's nice to be talking about Stoke for the quality of their football rather than their resilience for a change. Hope those coming today all have an enjoyable and safe day ....now to get ready and leave you to your match thread. Finally I fancy the P/Offs for us this season despite the dismal start, we have now lost only 1 in 8 games so the only way is up.

All a case of just getting the job done today. Get an early goal a la Rochdale 2015 and that should calm things down nicely.

I do enjoy the team sheet announcement. Hughes' flexibility
Start direct with a 4-4-2. {A bit like we tried against Arsenal but better.}
-------------------------Haugaard-------------------- ----------Bardsley Wollscheid Muniesa Wilson--------- -----------Walters Van Ginkel Adam Shaqiri----------- -----------------------Joselu Diouf------------------
Subs Afellay or Ireland/Sidwell on for Adam Odemwingie on for Shaqiri Crouch or Telford for Diouf/Joselu Not sure whether it'd be best to have Jack or one of the youth as bench keeper?
The 'red mist' aside I was impressed with Bardsley's last couple of games, more positionally disciplined at least and his cup goal was a joy. One of the highlights of the season so far. Love to see Muniesa getting a game, hopefully his natural ability would get him through any ring rustiness. Wilson could tuck in allowing Muniesa to move forward and link with Shaq when we're on the front foot. Van Ginkel and Adam sharing the holding and the driving. Jos and Diouf doing similar up top. Interesting as ever to see who'll feature. I hope a few fringers have a chance, wonder if it'll be a shop window for some?* *{With tv coverage/stat info/showreels etc, I suppose it's less relevant these days.}
Would loved to have made it, fingers crossed for a stream. Today's a great day just listening to the other results roll in, Exeter last night was a great curtain raiser. Come on Stoke, convincing win today and it kick starts the second half of the season.
Come on Stoke.

Very attacking. Joseulu seemed to be playing behind the main man against Liverpool so I presume will be the same today and a more 4-2-3-1 style. Regardless of having 4 strikers playing...
