Let's get a few things straight here:
Ryan could have had two yellows in the first half, but if he'd received a yellow for the first challenge, then he may not have made the second challenge.
The challenge he was sent off for wasn't even a foul. You can't criticise Ryan for that challenge only Dean.
He will get a one match ban that we can't appeal.
Obviously with hindsight Ryan would have been take off a half time. Could you imagine the reaction if Hughes had done that though and we'd lost?

The first booking was completely brainless and stupid from Ryan, he had no need to trip Fletcher as he had overrun the ball and it was going out for a goal kick. He takes the ball on the sending off incident, it was shocking decision from a weak as piss referee who had every intention of sending a Stoke player off after getting an earful off that fat fuck of a Sunderland manager.

Don't think the Fletcher one was a foul, he left his foot in, he was playing for a penalty all afternoon. They are a snidey side like their manager.

Can you appeal second yellow or is it only a straight red? How long have you been watching football mate? When have you EVER been able to appeal a 2nd booking?

That happens to most centre halves at some point.
Nothing to see here.

He was targeted by dean, pre-determined for an earlier mistake he thought he made where he should of got a straight red!

How cn you blame a player for winning the ball? The Cunt Dean made a mistake in the 1st half, so decided that 2 mistakes will put it right.

Disappointed with todays result. Ryan maybe could have been a bit cleverer but typically he also fell foul of yet more cheating from a Sunderland player and another shockingly shit display from Twat Dean who is no stranger to aiding a Stoke City defeat. The Stadium of Shyte hoodoo continues !!

It's inevitable that Ryan will have some tough games after that Injury and this was one of them . Management should have protected him much much better today .

Should have taken him off at half time as I said at half time what followed was inevitable andat have material consequences for example another sending off will increase his ban when this was entirely predictable and avoidable

I have watched Ryan's two "bookings" over and over and my view is that the first was definitely warranted, however, never in a million years was the second justified, or even a foul. Absolutely p*ss poor refereeing and similarly criminal that second yellows, that result in the red, cannot be appealed. Refereeing mistakes like this should result in bans and/or fines for referees. Dean's incompetence today, in effect, cost us a point. I say a point, rather than three because, being brutally honest, we look totally incapable of scoring freely with our current line up. Mr Hughes needs to put some detailled focus on this. Lack of goals is becoming alarming.

Hughes was never going to take off Ryan because if it back-fired he would never have heard the end of it. In addition, I hate to say it (I'm a big Geoff Cameron fan) but we conceded two goals because we were much more vunerable at the back with GC and PW and not because we were a player down. Basically damned if he did and damned if he didn't.

Ryan Shawcross was unlucky to get sent off today. The 1st booking was justified but no way was the second a sending off he got the ball. The sending off changed the game for us but we know what to expect when the ref is Mike Dean

Give it a fucking rest vermin! H
