Dunna worry about England. I heard that Mama Sidibe's cleaner is Irish so we all must support Ireland, because all English players are wankers.

Fully agree that we seem to be bringing in a few more "likeable" players. Still the odd bad egg, but I think Rooney has matured since receiving the armband too. Has he been for elocution lessons or summat, cause his accent has proper softened

Let us not forget the drop in stock of SJW because he came out of the Tory closet! H

Still looked like football by numbers to me....whole team lacks fluidity of movement and invention....just like it always has. We're playing 80's style football at international level....everyone else has moved on.

I thought it was the most fluid football we'd played for a while, with the second goal in particular being a lovely move.

Lallana, Sterling and Rooney though, fuck that. Although I do like those who you mentioned, plus Cahill. I think Sterling is quality bar some of his final decision making, which you would think will only improve. It's more that I think he's an arsehole than not rating him as a player.

Maybe I'm preprogrammed to think they're wank.....wouldn't be surprising given the shit we've been served up since as far back as I can remember.

In my lifetime the only time we have been in a tournament we had a realistic chance of winning was Euro 2004. Even then quarter finals. England Euro 96 semis Italia 90 semis Mexico 86 quarters All horrible defeats in later stages Not saying we were the best team at all, but we went out to VERY fine margins which on the day could have got us to a final had things gone our way That's the thing. Sometimes it;s a fine line between success and failure and you have to make sure you are on the right side of that line. We often aren't.
