instead of Hughesy if he was sacked by Chelsea this weekend? It's a no brainer. Mourinho is a superior manager to Mark Hughes.

I love my wife, but I'd take Scarlett Johansson seven ways from fucking Sunday. Give her a bell and ask her what she's doing on Sunday.

I don't know if I could be bothered with the bullshit sideshow Mourinho caries everywhere with him. Controversy, public rows, persecution complexes. It's the bollox that is too much bother.

This is actually an intersting idea. Nothing to do with the question, but an interesting idea nevertheless. Drop/sell/loan Bardsley or Odemwingie to make room. Sorted. It would also piss off Mourinho which is a definite bonus. Just one problem: SOT ain't exactly Manhattan. No offense. EDIT: Maybe we should just go for both. This is getting very silly.

No, prefer a manager who can keep his toys in the pram. Also don't think he is that good a manager, good managers are those who can succeed with limited resources. That is the real art of management. Didn't think so at first but now believe that Hughes is the perfect fit for Stoke and that there is a lot more to come.
It would be interesting to see how he would cope at a club like Burton Albion with limited funds.

I genuinely wouldn't swap Hughes for anybody.
We're stable, he's stable, and he's the sort of manager who always seems to learn from his mistakes. He's the perfect fit for a club like us.

Don't know why I'm giving this attention, but the situation) José finds himself in is a test of a good manager. And in my opinion he hasn't got the mettle to deal with it, he's clearly flustered and at odds with being down here. He'll get Chelsea back up by virtue of them having the team they have, but he couldn't get a team like Norwich or Sunderland out of a relegation scrap.

If Jose is still in a job by Saturday, the media attention on our game will be intense. As usual, we will be the supporting act. We might get the odd mention.

He's not a better manager
He has been very fortunate to only work for the big clubs with loads of resources
A couple of years at a Bristol or charlton let's see what he (and other top managers) could do with lower resources

Only surprised more on here haven't said yes....permanently walks around with unwarranted conspiracy theories, he constantly whinges and moans and blames the media and referees perception of him and his team for all his ills and for every loss on the pitch.sounds like about 80% of the people on this board to me!

I think his style of football and Stoke City would be a great match. Would hate the Mourinho show though every time we lost. He has shown himself to be a bit of a child when he is not given the sweets he thinks he deserves.
